You missed the point of that and Jeremiah is dead on, it is the people of this board just as it was on DC.com for me. Some of these folks are very special to me.

The moderator part of it came much later. Might be hard for some to understand but that feeling that it was my team transferred to this board. This board is more important to me than the team. I feel it is partly my board and that has nothing to do with being a mod but being a member.

You said earlier that you doubt you would even follow the team if it wasn’t for this board, but claim you’re a fan. That doesn’t make sense but the one thing that’s clear is you’re down on the team and ownership just like most of us. You’re frustrated and we all are.

There’s no day that gives fans more hope than draft day. The Troy Aikman's, Emmitt Smith’s, Michael Irvins and all the franchises great players were added on draft day. You never know when you’re going to draft that one player that’s going to change the course of your teams history.
Just look at last year's first round pick. Another one or two anywhere near that level, and we'll have fun watching again, even when we lose.

It may take a while to come up with another player at the level of Parsons. It may take a couple this year at his level to improve us.

Some live in fantasy. Others choose reality.

UMMM In the 70s, the Cowboys were the class of the league in every possible way.

Now they're like that aging relative addicted to meth always making promises to change but unwilling to do what change requires.

They're relevant now only because of the trainwreck they are.
i the 90s they were the class of the league..i guess that is you ling the past me in reality..jerry brought us 3 trophies not move on down the road TROLL

70s teams wouldn't handle these new teams went to 14-16 now 17 games with salary cap and Free agency...new times catch us. Players constantly leaving, forcing trades, whining and crying social media this isn't the 70s heck its barely the 90s..

Let it go.

Maybe he should let it go he replied to me several times. Try keeping up! Why don’t you let it go and stop messaging me. This has nothing to do with you. You’re nothing but a nuisance who doesn’t have a clue about anything. You just come around looking to start fights with me.

I have slowly lost interest with not only the team but with the NFL in general. The football played today is equivalent to Arena Football. Bunch of high scoring contests where almost every record is broken. Football is for entertainment purposes only and is no longer a team sport. Just a bunch of individuals playing for their next contract with themselves coming first + their brand and the team second.
Nailed it!

I remember that... LOL
I think that off season when several of us went off the reservation with the whole Pacman, stripper poles and the birth of bacon is what took the board to another level. One simple post from G2 "I like bacon" and we were off to the races.

After that we had stuff like "Random Thoughts", "The Bacon Thread" complete with pics and recipes and my favorite, "This thread is about nothing at all" and it took us 5 pages to decide what nothing was.

There is nothing like discovering kindred spirits of the absurd and nonsensical to make one feel young again. I never spent so much time laughing and typing.

The brand of football yall are talking about hasn't been around since the 70's/early 80's sorry to say. I checked out 20 years ago, and when you finally see the NFL for purely the entertainment company it is... your life will be alot less stressful.

Even if the Cowboys get out thier own way and win a SB.
