The sport's fanship does fall continually below the NFL, MLB and NBA as far as major team sports are concerned.

More seriously though, as a linebacker they should be glad he didn't think he should rush out and tackle one of the hockey players.

Honestly I've been to a few hockey games over the years and watched a few on TV but I've never seen a ceremonial puck drop so I would have had no idea what was going on either lol.

He was probably there with his agent, who likely said, "Don't worry Micah. It's easy. Just walk out to center ice and drop the puck. Easy peezy." Then he probably explained it in more detail when Micah walked back to him.
