You're assuming they didn't have any idea of what the Giants might do. I wouldn't assume that.
And if the Giants did take Parsons, oh well, we're stuck with Slater. I could live with that.

Mannn I love me some Jameson Williams. The kid has game changing speed.
My only gripe is, you're going to have 2 receivers coming off of ACL injuries and possibly not ready for week 1.
Gallup, Lamb and Williams would be a hell of a show to watch.

The cost to swap 24 for 14 would be picks 56 and 167. That's not terrible if it's a player that fell. And some people think Jordan Davis is the next best thing since toilet paper was invented, I'm not sold on him.
