I guess there's not a lot going on, on a Thursday, so I'll give it a breeze.
Probably won't take part in the crazies, but might try to add a smile, or two.

Or I'll do nothing and drink and make merry with my wife to some fish soup recipe we've been talking about.
sounds good, spend time with your wife you don't get time back.

This draft has all the earmarks of lots of movement up and down the board and the team that always piques my interest is Philly. They just do not seem to be able to sit still where they are and they have 15 and 18 and traded with Dallas to get up to beat NY to Smith in the last 1st round.

This draft does not seem to have that wow player. Got some good players but its lacking in the usual QB's so the moves up will be interesting and Philly might be one of those in the hunt for a 1st round QB.

The other teams are New York at 5 and 7 and Houston at 3 and 13. NY could actually double up on the DL where they are and start to resemble the old NYG.

So, other than the Cowboys, what's got you jazzed about tomorrow night?
It will be interesting to see what all the nfc east teams do.

Remember the other side to teams wanting to trade down is someone has to come up. We may very well be that someone. Offers will be out there and we've expressed interest. If the right guy slips Jerry is coming up, like it or not.

I'm not looking forward to it at all. Unless we work magic to move up, all I'll be doing is watching other teams in our division getting better, and since our Super Bowl is always the division title, it's concerning.

Absolutely. Let’s not forget we are exceptional at drafting talent. Particularly offensive talent. Our “bad picks” exist like any organization (see round two) but overwhelmingly we are successful at finding talent.

I am curious to see what the Giants and Eagles do. I think the Eagles are definitely moving up if they can. I keep hearing talking heads say there are only about 15 players with 1st round grades and those players are not blue chips. I think the Giants stay where they are and take to of the top players, maybe a CB and definitely an OT. But I think the Eagles try to move up into the top 5 using their two 1st round picks. The only question is can they find a trade partner.

I am looking forward to the Cowboys pick at 24 but I have a feeling they will try to move up a few spots. I would not be surprised to see Dallas move up in a trade with GB or NE if a player they want falls to 21 or 22.

  • Watching the Jones boys in the war room pretend to be football geniuses.
  • Hearing Roger Goodall get booed.

Maybe its nothing, but just me being over analytical, but I see a lack of lateral movement, he is good run blocker but lacks the foot work that I want from a top guard.
Just my honest opinion.
Fair enough
I personally prefer Zion
I think he can be a true pro bowl player
I have worries about Linderbaum mostly due to his size and I think he really fits in a full zone blocking offense but I think he could struggle with a NT lined up over him
Smaller guys have succeeded but it takes bear perfect technique

Agree with you, and would not mind at all if Linderbaum was the pick, but I believe some of these top OL prospects will be moving earlier than some are expecting.
Stepnoski would probably be your example of the true technician, very undersized C, that utilized technique, leverage and hand dominance to perfection.
Im only getting pissed tonight if I see us giving up our 1 and 3 and throwing around 5ths, etc.
only to move up marginally, its easy to get excited about a few players a few picks above 24, but this draft is going to play out a little different tonight, there will be QBs slipping out.
I posted another thread about the possibility of a back seven player there, I know nobody wants to hear it, not the popular vote, just looking at what might end up being the best value over need pick there, in worse case sceanario.

Give me Green or Johnson or a small trade back to pick up another top 3 round pick.

Too many needs and not enough difference makers to warrant a trade up.
I would endorse a trade back scenario for the right price, and thats only if staying put at 24, nothing else on our board valued at that slot at that point.
Worst case scenario is a panic move up, best to let this draft this year fall to you.
