These aren’t remotely comparable. Consensus rankings have Hamilton around 7 and Linderbaum around 23. You’d be foolish to pass on Hamilton unless you have non-public information about him. Both fall to 24, you're name is Stephen Jones, who do you pick?
I didn't pick these two guys randomly, I picked these guys because most scouts have
high grades on both players, yet they both play neglected positions, center and safety.
Center's aren't generally looked at
in the first round, definitely not front end of the first round. Can Linderbaum play Guard, idk but it's not whats on tape?!!
Also, if you're drafting in the top 15,
your team is probably not that good and a center is not going to make or break your next season.
Kyle Hamilton should also be there based on past drafts. Safeties are generally very unloved and
neglected! Just look at the Dallas Cowboys, you would have to go back to Roy Lee WIlliams to find a premium pick we spent on a safety. Cowboys don't care about the position. Moehrig last year was super drop! Xavier Mckinney huge drop!
WIth that said, If I'm Stephen J......... "with the 24th pick overall the Dallas Cowboys select Kyle Hamilton Safety Notre Dame!"
Linderbaum
I'm with the Cowboys philosophy in only drafting a safety in 1st round if he's a super blue chipper.
He’s a top 10 talent that’s falling. You have to take him.Hamilton would be BPA by a mile. Only a moron would pass him up.
No he's not.Hamilton is a play maker. When was the last time we had a play making safety: Woody.
And bluntly speaking Hamilton is a HUGE upgrade to what we have.
He's so great......he's free falling lol. We'd be morons alright. Just if we do what you suggestHamilton would be BPA by a mile. Only a moron would pass him up.

Derwin James was arguably the best talent in his draft and he went from a Top 5 pick to 17th because, largely, of positional value.
Parsons was arguably the most talented kid in the draft last year. But using your logic, we were dumb to take him at 12 because if he were so good why did he slide from a Top 3 pick to 12?
I definately am under selling him...on grounds 1) we have Kearse (you need to take into account difference between existing and draftee...not between the draftee's themselves). 2) SS is useful but a secondary unit which by design is more useful in damage limitation.
I'll take a free falling elite player anytime and twice on Sunday. He's so great......he's free falling lol. We'd be morons alright. Just if we do what you suggest
Parsons fell maturity issues and a top heavy draft. Nice try thoughDerwin James was arguably the best talent in his draft and he went from a Top 5 pick to 17th because, largely, of positional value.

Where do you see an elite player?I'll take a free falling elite player anytime and twice on Sunday.
He's not falling anywhere near 24 so its a moot point.

I overexagerated a little but he is top 10 talent.Where do you see an elite player?
Lamb went where he should've. I never saw some elite prospect like yall did.But he fell, you added no qualifiers. Your premise is if a guy falls than how good can he really be? James fell. Guess the Chargers were dumb to take him at 17.
I mean how good was Lamb? He also fell and we took him. Guess we were dumb then too.
Not only that, his film is lackluster. I think people saw he was a top 5 prospect all year and just won't let it go. He doesn't play fast or have that alpha mentality but hey, experts say he's top 5 so he's top 5I thought Hamilton ran a slow 40 time for a S, something like the slowest of all the safeties in the draft?
4.59 at the combine 4.56 at his pro day.I thought Hamilton ran a slow 40 time for a S, something like the slowest of all the safeties in the draft?
