The Cowboys are lucky that the teams in division keep screwing up evaluating their QBs.

Washington passing up Herbert was incredible.
True, but I wonder how good Herbert would have been in Washington last year….

I figure some OL or DL will fall and the Cowboys can pick him up and may even start if he is an OL.

Three and a half more hours. This day is just dragging along. Sheesh.

Reminds me of game day when we have night games! Ironically I won't be home to watch the draft anyway because the wife has gotten a wild hair that she might like horse racing and she picked tonight to go for the first time! She got me to agree to this before I realized it was draft night!! Wunnerful! Then again I never really watch the draft anyway.. but I typically do jump on the phone with my brother in law to discuss our haul!!

The best way to get players to fall in your lap is having teams reach for QBs. Most teams don’t even have a first round grade on any of these QBs but it’s almost a sure thing at least a couple of teams will reach for one in the first round.
The ones without a franchise QB just about have to take a shot at one.

If the Cowboys were sitting there with Hurts or Jones at QB, wouldn't the fans be OK with taking a swing at QB?

I watch the 1st round for the drama and analysts losing their minds because their player didn't get picked.

I don't pay much attention after that except for the Cowboys picks.

There’s fans that want us to take a swing at QB tonight even though we have Dak. lol Taking a swing at a QB in the first round comes down to whether you think that QB is better than the one you have. I doubt the Giants or Philly think the QBs in this draft are better than the one they have. Teams like Carolina and Seattle have a dilemma. Carolina traded for Sam Darnold prior to last season. He’s clearly not the answer but the odds aren’t in favor that any of the QBs in this draft are either. This may be the weakest QB class since 2013 when EJ Manuel was the first QB taken. He only lasted 5 seasons in the NFL. I’m just glad the Cowboys have the QB they have and don’t have to gamble a premium pick on one. It can set you way back passing on a player at another position for a QB that doesn’t pan out.

The Cowboys lucked out that this Draft doesn't have any Top QB prospects given that two of their rivals have multiple 1st round picks and use them to Trade up to get one.

But between them they can wipe out the first round O-line talent before Dallas gets a pick

Egirls traded away a #1 pick this year for one next year so they might get one yet as they will have multiple number ones again.

It would’ve benefited us more to have several top QBs in this draft. It would cause some players that will go in the first 20 picks to fall to us. Having some top QBs in this draft doesn’t guarantee any of them will be franchise QBs. It’s just another opportunity for teams in our division to possibly waste a pick on a QB. Daniel Jones was a top-five pick. Washington has wasted several first round picks on QBs the past couple of decades.
RG3 anyone ?????????

I'm guessing there is going to be at least 3 or 4 picks that come out of left field. In years past, you could almost script the first 10 or so picks. Not this year! This draft should be pretty fun

He’s just another one of the examples of what a crapshoot drafting a QB is. Washington has taken two QBs in the top 5 that went bust Heath Shuler and RG3. They’ve drafted six QBs in the first round over the past 20+ years go bust.
Could not have happened to a finer ball club !!!!!!!

Yeah.... but they passed on Hebert, so what does that tell you? What did we see that they didn't?
