Some days are very very hard to root for this team. Sincerely. This isn’t a knee jerk reaction. I just cannot find a single positive thing to say about this pick.
That is because you are a fan and not a scout. He should be an immediate starter at LG that could probably develop into a starting tackle in the future. He has a high ceiling and plays nasty. To top it off he just turned 21 this month. One of the youngest players in the draft.

Again, project. You can try to discredit my opinion all you want, but I’m not wrong. There were a handful of players who would have made more of an impact in 2022. No spin job you try is going to change that.

There were 2-3 day 1 starters available. Weak draft or not, Tyler Smith was a project pick and confirmation that the Cowboys are most definitely not in win-now mode

im just giving you some positives on Tyler Smith. The pick has been made so we can at least look at what he does well. Year 1 might be rough but at some point we are going to get a highlight of him driving a DL into the ground.

Jermaine Johnson would have knocked Dante Fowler off your depth chart completely. That would have been such a strong pick.

Johnson, Lawrence, Fowler, Parsons. Offense tackle wasn't the reason you lost to the 49ers. It's because you couldn't make Jimmy Garropolo look like the QB he is that's about to get cut.

I hear ya man. Appreciate you trying to bring some positive views. I’m just really tired of watching undisciplined line play (I’m scarred by #52 last year), and I already know we’re gonna see more of that from this kid next year lol

Serious question .......is he an upgrade over Connor Williams right now?
It looks like he’s a duplicate of Williams from a technical perspective. He’s got a massive base and seems to be stronger than Williams, but I’ve seen a lot of clips of him playing reckless and getting manhandled. It’s scary.

I'm not doubting the pick at 24, just the 16th best comment. Dallas thought Tyler Smith was superior at playing the game of football over FIVE of these guys? That's so... odd.

Jerry actually tried to show the press where he was on their draft chart, but was stopped by Stephen since it might have had some names on it that they didn't want to reveal. Looking at it later, Jerry said he thinks the only players left on the list he was going to show play quarterback.
