You’re right on that one! And that was just short of 20 years ago. Sad we have to go back that far to find a good trade haha. Glenn was fun to watch.

Also consider Parcells was given the reigns back than. Or at least more control over the roster than a McCarthy or Garrett.

What’s worse? We are told AJ Brown is a star. Take a gander at his career stats. That look like a star?

I cringe every time I see another WR move. There were two more tonight with AJ and Hollywood Brown both being traded for first rounders. Add that to all the others this off season, and the crazy free agent money they are getting as well, and it just keeps running the knife deeper and deeper. Jerry and SJ basically gave Cooper away for nothing. Other GMs would be fired for this mistake alone.
Cooper was a mistake. Should have held on to him until draft night. The Gallup deal was a steal though. His talent is right between Brown and Kirk. The Cowboys got him for 15 million a year.

I keep beating this dead horse:
As long as we have these amateurs running our front office
we are at a significant competitive disadvantage.

Yep, AJ Brown fetched a first round pick AND is now being paid $25 million/yr.

The Cowboys incompetence is unmatched.

Hate to nitpick but, AJ is going to be paid 4 million this year. He'll have to wait until 2023 to see any big money. But I understand the point.

The Cowboys let it be known that they were cutting bait with Coop, and severely hurt his trade stock. But speaking from a talent perspective, Cooper is right there with Brown. There’s no reason the Cowboys should have gotten anything less than a 3rd if they had played their cards right.

That's the problem. We got robbed for Cooper.

Jealousy is not a good look for us fellas. What's done is done and can't be undone to be redone.

I think "frustration" is more the word, especially knowing the people who made the deal will never be held accountable for it. They'll just make the next one.

so you guys wanted to keep coooop.
because all i heard from alot of you is how much he sucked and was over paid.

i'm more worried about being able to keep ceedee lamb.
which was a reason why some of us were saying wr at 24.
ceedee is going to be expensive to keep.

Boys simply got rid of the "bad" (Cooper and Collins) meaning, these guys just did not mell with the team itself. I truly believe these are MM's recommendations and I have no problem with that. Is that enough to justify only getting a 5th, probably not, but if it brings cohesion to the team, I am for it. If Garrett was still here, Cooper and Collins would be as well.

I honestly think the plan is to get Pollard on the field more with reps at receiver. I'm sure we will draft a WR but I think the plan going into the season should be to create more opportunities for Pollard.
