How does D-Coordinator Dan Quinn feel like knowing he could have had potentially the best edge rusher (Jermaine Johnson) in the entire 2022 draft, but it was squandered away for a Div. II project Olineman who is an O-Tackle but will be plugged in at Left Guard (a position he has never played, had poor technique and was one of the most flagged for holding in all of college football)?

You might be disappointed but try to stay objective a bit. Tulsa isn't division 2. Jj isn't the best de. Jj was shooting up draft boards but so was smith. Jj was project mid late first and started being projected first half of the round. Smith was rumored to be who the Titans wanted badly at 26.

I wanted JJ too and I think there was better ol value later but if we get someone like sam Williams today, it's gonna be fine. Smith has huge upside and needs to refine his technique a bit.

I wouldve traded the pick to the Titans and ask for a 3rd pick back in return. Its not value but cost of giving away a guy you was interested in.

I'm totally bumming today I wanted Jordan Davis and now my absolute nemesis has him and he will make us suffer for the next 10 years

I'm in fear we will watch the college holding champion that we drafted get pummeled by Jordan Davis
No worries. He only plays 2 downs;)

Smith was coached by a grad assistant with little experience. Let's let him get actual coaching first

Smith had more penalties than Connor Williams while playing in 5 or 6 fewer games. How is this pick the least bit positive?
If you wanna be negative you can be but it's done. He's a physical specimen who is young athletic and nasty. The opposite of cw.

I'm hoping for the best but might take a year or two years. Hoping this is a pick that ends up like fredbeard.

It's a gap year for the Boys. Jerry is looking to win a top 5 or better draft position next year. He has to position himself to get a new coaching staff.

Thankfully penalties aren't the only stat that matters when evaluating a talent....

How are you feeling so far? I remember you and I going back and forth regarding this FO and you said and I was crazy for complaining before the draft and FA were done. How do you feel after the first round pick of YOUR Dallas Cowboys?

Fredbeard started his first season and was already one of the best centers in the game. Dont compare the 2. Its apples to bowling balls.

I don’t think anyone in the nfl thought johnson was the best edge rusher in the draft or he wouldn’t have been there
