What's sad is even Taco Charlton tweeted last night how the Cowboys over reached with the Tyler Smith pick. Sheesh.
because he has no motive after jerry's recent comments? because he is a talent evaluator? lol

you both are acting like scorned women....

get over it, root for the kid and hope the FO was right.

Sam Williams is good, but he's no Jermaine Johnson. Also, what if Sam Williams is long gone by the time the Cowboys pick at the #56th spot in the 2nd round? What then? You will have given up the best edge rusher in the draft when you picked at #24 but instead picked a 3rd round project O-Tackle who was flagged the most for holding in all of college football who also has technique problems, holds so much, gets beat by quicker speed rushers, fails to stay in front of quicker opponents and will now be forced to play at Left Guard (a position he has never played before).

You tell me which move would have been better?
i will 2yrs from now...maybe by seasons end.
tyler smith was a good pick.

If Johnson is the best edge rusher in this draft, that's news to most of the teams, especially the ones that passed him over for other DL.

I think Quinn realizes the largest hole on the team was at LG and he needs a better OL to help with TOP to help his D. The man was a HC so he thinks a little differently.
How did Quinn do as a head coach in Atlanta? He sucks as a head coach. Way much better sticking to D-Coordinator where he can concentrate on Defense.

How about Joe Philbin? How has he performed the past 2 seasons? Terrible. Couldn't even coach up Connor Williams, Connor McGovern or Tyler Biadasz. Cowboys listened to Philbin and played games plugging Connor Williams at Guard when he was a Tackle. How did that turn out?

CC, you always complain about Jerry Jones and his FO (rightfully so), yet here you are kissing up to them? What gives?

when something is done and you can't change it, you either hop on board or you cry while the train leaves you behind....if you want this team to win, you will want TSmith to succeed.

Lots of players with a rep of being lazy have been drafted in round one over the years. His highlights against Alabama last year, looks like he quit to me. Even Booger and Riddick mentioned it.

your turn

I watch a lot of UGA football b/c I'm surrounded by UGA fans here in Atlanta. The dude is a mountain in the middle who can't be moved off the LOS. Like most 340 lb DTs, he's a rotational player. UGA overused him a few games due to injuries to their DT rotation. Booger doesn't know squat as he has fielded a bottom 5 DT rotation for almost 10 years running.

No. If you want this team to win, you demand much better draft pick decisions. The status quo has not worked. That's reality, not hope.

Keep whining when the performancess every year keep proving you wrong. Time to take off the cheerleader outfit.

find me a post where i'm whining or cheering for the FO. the only whining here is being done by you.

If smith can be a dominate guard then it’s huge
I’d have preferred a guard who’s actually played guard to be my starter but we will see if they can get him ready to start
Wasn’t Zach Martin a tackle at Notre Dame?

We will see. Time usually proves me right.

It's been 26 years, not too difficult to end up "right" betting against this team. As far as individual players and circumstances I'd need to see your receipts.

Fwiw I hope you are dancing in the streets after tonight's selections, though it's hard to make a draft look pretty when you hate the 1st round.

Personally I don't love it either, but ima wait and see.

I cant recall, but I do remember a consensus on what a sure fire, solid player, with no weakness Martin was coming out of college.

We passed on Johnny Dbag, and I was kind of disappointed but told myself this is a really safe, solid pick. I couldn't complain.

I looked and Martin was a 4 year starter at left tackle. He might’ve has some in game injury sub at guard, but I didn’t see mention of that. He certainly appears to have been more accomplished coming out than Smith, but there is precedence for a player making the transition from college tackle to NFL guard. Lael Collins did that as well.
