I loved the fact that the Director of Player Personnel for the Dallas Cowboys can't even pronounce the name of his starting center correctly.

Distinct advantages of the unique structure of the Cowboys at play, gents.

I liked that he mentioned Smith's intelligence a couple of times.

Well, its common knowledge that Jerry and Stephen are very astute evaluators of intelligence, and few schools outside the Ivy League produce smarter football players than the University of Tulsa. Go Golden Hurricanes!!!

If a player needs to be coach, he came to the wrong team. We need to go with talent at that point, come on.

Wow. Stephen said that Tyler will be competing at left guard with McGovern and will be the backup left tackle. What also caught my ear is that Ball will be the backup right tackle. Tyler is gonna earn that 1st round selection.

Because, maybe their scouting department did not have him as high as your scouting department.

Fair enough, and that's probably right. My hesitation with Tyler Smith is the penalties. I've said and will repeat that I see him as similar to Hotel Adams. He was a solid player, but the penalties would drive me mental.

Once he receives real coaching and putting him at OG should help. He was a good LT that used plain strength and athleticism, once his technique gets cleaned up he should be much better. Since none of the reports stated he was lazy he should progress quickly.

He has presumably been playing football for quite a long time. If the coaching hasn't hit home yet then why would it suddenly hit home now?
