Dean's play benefited greatly because he played with great guys in front of him.
He won't be as good in the NFL; skillset won't entirely translate due to limitations.
Lucky for him, he'll still get to play with Jordan Davis.
Eagles definitely had one of their best drafts in recent years, but we'll get the last laugh on the Dean pass.
During the draft, I thought the Cowboys might take him. I was actually excited because he was rated so high. But I later went back and looked, and we got a better player, although an injured one. I suspect Clark is the kind of guy to work though the kind of injury he has. And given his background, right or wrong for pursuing a guy like that, he'll come back with the mentality to earn his money.
I had only done a couple weeks of arm chair scouting, so while I could see he was talented, I didn't realize the extent of his weaknesses, and what his injuries imply when coupled with those shortcomings. So I'm good with the pass in hindsight, because he doesn't have the traits the Cowboys covet.
He is what he is: a 3rd round pick. The kind that might just bust.
