I think he's more suited inside so I'm not too worried about it.

I will say this- over the past 17 hours I have gone from hating the pick, to accepting it, to liking it, and now I am actually a bit excited for Smith's future.

I had no idea he was that athletic for his size. The technique issues can be fixed and I love the fact he's nasty and punishing. The Cowboys need attitude.

Yes, put him at left guard and leave him there. Position flex is for backups. And why all of a sudden would they start moving OL around? When we wanted Collins at LG and C.Williams at RT they didn't do it. So don't start now.

What's all this talk about right tackle, future left tackle? Blah, blah, blah. Just leave the kid in Larry Allen's old position and let him maul. Bulk this kid up to where he can bench press 700 lbs.

Plus this kid is wearing #73!

Nah. Let him get comfortable in the league at the easier spot to play but if he can be your next LT (and he has all the traits and athleticism) you'd be wasting him at LG once Tyron breaks down for good.

Eric Williams is this kid's model and not Larry Allen.
Like both players btw....

Eric Williams like to finish but so did LA. What set EWill apart was how he'd turn his punches into head slaps and throat punches. He had no issues sweeping the leg. I don't see Smith being like that. He likes picking people up, and slam/flopping on them. T

Not encouraging however that he lead college football in penalties..

Buzz-kill post right? That's a lot of penalties against Tulsa competition too. I am hopeful but why replace Connor Williams with another Connor Williams type player, at least where he was...LOL

He’s already really strong but I doubt Tulsa has an elite weight program and he’s 21 so he should get stronger for sure. He could be a really good guard
I don’t know about tackle but if he can be a good guard then it’s a good pick
