I verbatim said they said he was on the block I said nothing about being “cut” keep up.

Ok but your post makes no sense. Of course a team puts somebody on the trade block when they want to trade them. How else would teams know they’re available to trade?

that’s not the same thing as a team like the cowboys letting the whole world know they’re going to cut a guy. Unless he is traded. The titans didn’t do that with AJ Brown. Because they aren’t stupid.

it’s apples and oranges.

Because AJ Brown is on his rookie deal.....it makes no sense to even cut him lol. Apples and oranges like you said...

I cringe every time I see another WR move. There were two more tonight with AJ and Hollywood Brown both being traded for first rounders. Add that to all the others this off season, and the crazy free agent money they are getting as well, and it just keeps running the knife deeper and deeper. Jerry and SJ basically gave Cooper away for nothing. Other GMs would be fired for this mistake alone.
Did you notice teams dumped them to keep from paying them

For as stingy as Stephen is with the cap money, you’d think he’d be much smarter and efficient in the trades he executes. I can’t think of a single trade in the last 20 years that the Cowboys objectively came out ahead, in the long run
If Dallas wants to move up a few spots in the first round of the draft, it will take a second round pick. If any other team wants to move up, it’s a third round pick. It has happened time after time and it is embarrassment TBH.

Ummmmmmm anyone that has gone 26 years without making it to the Championship game among a lot of other buffooneries would have been also fired.

We did "ok" to get David Irving, but then his character re-surfaced. I think Quinn was a trade also, and we did very well before he went and got paid. Leonard Davis and Columbo may have been trades, but I'm not sure on those.

It appears the higher the stakes the worse we come out.

Not really, I noticed teams getting first round picks for them though.
Contracts matter
Most of them were on rookie deals are really elite player
Cooper had a really large contract so that has a lot to do with what you get in a trade

You can't make teams offer more than a 5th

Expect each of those teams will turn around and sign those guys to monumental deals. They aren't throwing out firsts for one year rentals. Make no mistake, those guys are about to get paid.

Not sure you can call it "dumping" when they net a 1st +.
They didn’t want to pay the crazy money a WR is getting
Cooper was already getting big bucks, these players were not

The teams that traded for them
Not the teams that traded them
In todays nfl with the number of WR coming out that are really good I wouldn’t pay 25 mil for one
There is a reason why so many WR are getting picked
More talent because the college game is more about passing too, and a vet costs a ton to get

Hell yes. Jerry and Stephen should be embarrassed they were not able to cash in Amari for more draft capitol. When I harp weekly on how poorly this team is run and how we have the laziest front office in the NFL, these are the kind of things i'm talking about.......

I wonder if they know they are a punchline to the rest of the league.

Yeah but neither one of them was carrying a $21 million a year contract while having 865 receiving yards.

A lot of people tend to forget that
