I agree with you about giving the kid a chance. It’s being sick of the front office that makes giving benefits of the doubt difficult.
It's just the same old BS every time. Last year it was Parsons was always the guy until the son spilled the beans that it was really either CB. Liars usually check their stories with each other when they come in a set. But they don't really care.

I don't think any team had him at 16, including the Cowboys. However, he could still get the job done at 24. So who really cares?

That old fool who gets closer to the Crypt Keeper every day just has to inject his ego into everything.

Same morons that traded down and reached for Travis Fredrick. We all crapped on that pick too. I do NOT like defending the Jones boys, but I do have some degree of faith in Will McClay and his ability to find oline early.

As far as plug in play I expect he starts at Guard this year. If he's not in the starting line up I'll join yall in crapping all over the pick.

And he'll probably commit some holding penalties, because he's a rookie and every lineman does. I look forward to fans saying, "See, I told you it was an awful pick" every time he commits a penalty.

I'd love to see their board. 2 of 32 GM's thought this guy was worth a 1st. But even those who like him admit he is extremely raw technique wise and the only tool he has is massive strength so far. I hope putting him at guard limits his exposure.

I'm not doubting the pick at 24, just the 16th best comment. Dallas thought Tyler Smith was superior at playing the game of football over FIVE of these guys? That's so... odd.
Remember, teams don’t rank players on their draft board solely on quality, but more so in the order they would select them, balancing value and need. Example, I seriously cannot imagine any safety on our board above Smith because we would never waste a top pick on one after just resigning Kearse and Hooker.

I’m sure there were maybe a couple WRs they would take who would bring something unique to the team, but not all of them.

Yes... it should have been a trade down to double your chances at second round players. Don't pick at #24 if you are settling for a 2nd round talent. Oddly enough, it's not a wild speculation to think that Tyler Smith could have been there in the second round.

Yes yes, I know ... it takes two to tango.
Or an adversarial team looking to get him [Titans]

Why is that embarrassing? These are professional NFL scouts the Cowboys employ not talking mouthpieces working for a TV show.
