Yeah but neither one of them was carrying a $21 million a year contract while having 865 receiving yards.

A lot of people tend to forget that

Amari's per game production did not drop. he just missed games. His 2 previous years were +1100 yards and more importantly, he freed up a lot of other pass catchers. Lets hope Dak doesn't revert to the QB he was prior to Amari's arrival. He was worth at LEAST a 2nd round pick even with his contract which would have required an extension anyway.

Yall keep saying that signed these guys to big deals as if that makes cooper's contract okay. It wasn't, his contract was awful for the production he has put out since signing it. Also we had to trade him before FA, before teams needed him before they could have gotten max value for him. Not to mention we didn't hold the cards. We had to move him because he wasn't worth his contract. They didn't have to move either WR. Different situations gets different results. Comparing ripe apples to months old apples will always be bias

Yeah I honestly don’t know what happened because no one seemed to be beating down their door to get him and the Browns just took him.
The main thing that happened that lowered Cooper’s trade value was Stephen “Giggles” Jones opening his big mouth and talking publicly about how hard it was going to be to keep Amari at $20 mil a season.

Might as well have plastered that on billboards in every NFL city. “The Cowboys are parting ways with Cooper”, thus making it easy to hard bargain the Cowboys in a trade.Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Fellow Cowboys fans- if you don’t know it by now it’s obvious. The Jones FO is arrogant and stupid. A terrible FO combination. They talk constantly about things smart NFL FOs shut up about. Look at JJ last night flashing a copy of their draft board. It’s unparalleled stupidity and arrogance. Jerry has to “prove” to the NFL world he’s smarter than they are. And it’s so obvious he’s not.

In case you didn’t already know it- the emperor and his giggling son are naked.

they knew we were releasing him
Yeah but if I’m a team that wants him I trade whateve is higher than what the Browns are offering….it just doesn’t make sense to me that teams will refuse to trade for him because they think he will be cut. I’d rather trade for him and bypass the competition.

I get that but still if a team heard the Browns we’re giving up a 5th….I’d offer a 4th to make sure I got the guy.

The browns had us over a barrel because of Giggles and his big mouth. That simple.
Oh I get why the Browns offered a 5th. What I don’t get is why a team like the Ravens didn’t come in and offer a 4th…..I know it’s easy to believe that the Cowboys messed up his trade value but that didn’t stop a bidding war from happening.

Well, Dak didn’t have anybody to throw to prior to Coop hence the trade. There was a gap in between Dez and Cooper where the top guy was Beasley?! Also, Dez was a shel of himself in 2017.
