Our best pick yet by a mile. He’s someone I would’ve been ok with in the 2nd. Probably a 2nd rounder in drafts that aren’t as deep at WR.

Dude is kinda like Gallup as a prospect…good at everything but not elite at anything. I think he has the tools / traits to develop into a solid 2. Low bust factor IMO as he has good size / athleticism and is a smooth route runner.

LOVE the pick and value in the 3rd.

13. JALEN TOLBERT, South Alabama (6-1, 193, 4.52, 3): Suffered a knee injury as a freshman in 2017 and redshirted. Played four seasons, starting the final three. “Baseball player,” said one scout. “Went there to play both. Then he hurt his knee and focused on football. He’s a good fit for this West Coast offense all these teams are running because he is very versatile. He makes plays. You cannot discount this kid’s playmaking ability. Second round is a little rich, but people will be all over him in the third. He’s sturdier than the top guys. He’ll be close to 200 (pounds). Little more rocked-up than those other guys. I like him as an underneath guy and I think he runs good enough to get over the top.” Finished with 178 receptions for 3,140 (17.6) and 22 TDs. Wonderlic of 27. “He’s got really good hands but he had too many concentration drops,” another scout said. “He tries to run too much before the catch. He’s basically their entire offense. He is talented.” From Mobile, Ala.

We've needed a physical wideout since Dez!
High points the ball and definitely not afraid to take a hit.
I love this pick!

His production was massive in 2021. In that conference, to have that many yards, is damn solid. He will help us. I like it. He's more refined than Burks. HE IS THAT DAWG at wr. I'm not sure Ceedee is that.

I didn't want a WR in the first two rounds, but this one feels right. Hopefully he pans out and it certainly seems like he will be able to slide in if Gallup isn't ready to go.

He actually is very similar to Michael Gallup. More of a Z receiver, but can play all receiving spots, this will allow Lamb to see more time inside.

Let me hear about it
Terrific player. Surprised he didn't get picked in the 2nd.

He is as 'ready now' as any WR in this draft. Similar to Gallup in college, he is one of the best route runners in this draft class.

Literally his only downside is that he had some drops in college.

Aced it. Like him better than Gallup coming out and better than Metchie, Robinson, and Pierce. He had a better 3 cone time than Skyy Moore.

i was thinking Cedrick Wilson 2.0
Tall and smooth and a knack for pass game

i still wish we had a new punt returner.
