I think way too many people get too caught up on whether or not charges were filed. No league has to care. They come to their own determination of your guilt based on their investigation. Let's not try to compare DV cases with this case. I don't believe Joseph was even accused of anything. Before one can come to the determination of wrongdoing, you must first be accused of doing something wrong. Lets get there first.

I have seen you over on the Joseph thread. I agree he has not done anything to warrant a suspension. But I have seen other posters who think he should be in jail for not going to the police or stopping his friends immediately after the incident. It just looks bad that he is on video and then 20 minutes later a young man is gunned down. Joseph will not get suspended for a scuffle. That appeared to not injure anyone but the court of public opinion wants him to pay for associating with the shooters.

On the right is only the fourth DT to ever win the Chuck Bednarik award, for the best defensive player in the country. The other 3 DTs to have ever won it are Ndamukong Suh, Aaron Donald, Jonathan Allen.

No team has ever drafted both recipients in the same year, with the exception of when Dan Morgan and EJ Henderson won both awards.

I know it's not a good look. States have on occasion charged everyone with murder in situations like this. Especially if the police have to come looking for you. I've literally watched cases do that very thing. With the defendant swearing he wasn't involved.

But lets throw all that away for a second. What will the league suspend him for if nothing is outstanding? They can't say public opinion. They can't say optics. They have to accuse him of something, determine he did it, then suspend him under whatever guideline allows them to.

They can suspend him for conduct detrimental to the league and be fairly vague about it. They can suspend him for any length of time Goodell wants just because he was shown to be in the fist fight. Will they? Who knows? But sadly Goodell has that power and is inconsistent with it.

Yes. Agreed. The all encompassing actions detrimental to the league.

The eagles got better as last year went on. The cowboys got worse throughout the year.

The eagles improved dramatically this off-season. Dallas got progressively worse.

I agree that he's getting some kind of suspension. I don't even want him on the team. I just want the NFL to be consistent with the discipline it hands out.

Davis is 6 ft 7 and 340 and pretty fast.

He was throwing double teams around like rag dolls.

It only takes 1 good tackle to crush your Giblets. Lol.

I was thinking how much penetration he was getting would open stuff up for other guys.

He's definitely not the guy you're gonna be wanting to QB sneak on. Js.

The guys like a bilboard. Just spotting guys running over the middle is gonna be tough. Lol

Unfortunately, we have two things working against us:
- Cowboys haven't had back to back 10 win + season since the Dynasty years of the 1990's
- There hasn't been back to back NFC East Champions since the Eagles in 2004
Fasten your seatbelts folks, we may be in for a bumpy ride..
