In fairness lotsa kids slack on school stuff in HS, but Verone's dad, Verone Jr was a Red Raider when I was there so I followed him pretty closely.
Don't mean to knock the kid too hard.
He worked with a personal position coach since elementary school and was super polished for camps by early HS.
But I don't think he ever really reached that peak that was once projected.
He is a little undersized and transferred outta Texas A&M and the SEC.
Good luck to him!

I think he can become a solid nickel/slot.

I'm with Helman. I think these guys can be like lottery tickets. You never know when you can hit on one. I know we'll probably sign one for the rookie camp....
