The 2022 draft.

I expected better from Las Vegas, but all in all not bad. I may have missed it, but there were no great moments.

I watched ESPN and I did enjoy the early quick pick by pick analysis, but the fade in and out the magic tricks, blue man, and concerts just didn’t mesh for me.

I really liked the NFL Fans in the countries that will host regular season games this fall announcing picks.
Also team fans taking the stage to announce players selected in the day 3 rounds.
I suppose each franchise has a process to determine the season ticket holders worthy of being chosen to go to the draft site and participate in the proceedings.
Round-trip flight + a week's lodging and food, transportation, hodnobbing with the commissioner and a couple of franchise greats.

The "Blue Man Group" entertainment entity first started in 1987 -- they've got staying power.

I’m sure it was much better than most in person

Just stop with celebrities, influencers, etc. announcing picks. These guys are hogging for clout and it’s embarrassing.
It would go much faster
I think the NFL thinks it’s an entertainment event and in person it probably is. But the folks who watch the draft, for the most part just care about the draft and not being entertained
I did think they did a better job on late round picks this year. Many times they spend too much time recapping the first round and blow off the late rounds when it comes to breaking down the players

Including the rich & famous, along with the ordinary people representing teams, charities, military, and first responders --- are now part and parcel of how the NFL expands it popularity among the populace that are not hard-core pro football fans.
Season kickoff specials....through the Super Bowl pregame & halftime performances.
A few years ago, I attended a Giants-Cowboys game at AT&T.
Famed restaurateur and Food Network shows series host Guy Fieri did a cooking presentation onsite.
Dislike \ hate it all you want....it's here to stay.
A recourse to avoid it - just view the Cowboys' (and other teams') draft selections the following day online.

I kinda thought the venue was not a fit. I didnt like that and I also thought ESPN was just a bunch of propaganda and self promotion messaging ...with a bit of actual fb sprinkled in. The NFL network did a better job. But yeah, I hope they don't have it in Vegas for a long while. Cleveland, New York, Dallas I like. I think the New England area would be a nice venue next time. Kanas City even. Vegas just didnt work.

Honestly, I feel like as they’ve made the draft more mainstream, it’s really killed the vibe. It used to be more of a hardcore event where you got in-depth analysis of each team and pick.

Now, it’s reminds me of ESPN as a whole. It’s all fluff and pegantry with very little analysis and substance.

This year felt completely off for me. Didn’t enjoy it much at all.

Vegas sucked. All the stupid magic and distractions made for bad tv. I'm thinking the audience pry enjoyed it more but it didn't carry over on the screen well.

Why was Mel Kiper not on site. He was being treated like a Covid casualty remote worker

That’s what I was thinking, TV just didn’t capture the moment.
Vegas is a party town
I love Vegas myself but to me I could care less about the entertainment part in the draft
All I care about is the players, their evaluations and some of the stories about those players
But that’s just me
Some like the “show” part
I don’t care about halftime entertainment myself
That’s the time to get another beer or get rid of the last one lol

The idiots in the Kiss costumes just want to get on TV and call that a win for life.

If you're really into the results of the draft the worst place to be is there.
