Favorite: Williams. To me getting a guy who is a potential 10 sack player in the 2nd round is a win

Least favorite: Ferguson. He just looks like a poor mans Shultz to me. They should have been more aggressive and pursues someone like Otton or Kolar

Honorable mention favorite: Ridgeway. Good two down utility late in the draft. Ridgeway had 39 tackles last year. Bohanna had 58 in 4 years at Kentucky.

Honorable metion least favorite: Smith. Not so much the player, but passing on a top 15 pick caliber edge rusher to take him

The more I think about it, I like the Tolbert pick the best because of value. Smith and Williams will surprise. This is the first time we hit on two picks in round 1, and 2, imo, in quite some time.

Favorite: Tyler Smith. I've been posting about him for a few weeks.

Best Value: Jalen Tolbert. I just don't see much difference between him and several WRs drafted before him.

Best Value #2: Damone Clark. He was my favorite LB in this draft. Not my #1 rated LB, but my favorite. I had him rated as a late 1st.

Most Interesting: Matt Waletzko. This is the only pick that I had never reviewed. He has a similar nasty demeanor to Tyler Smith.

Favorite Tolbert. The way WRs were flying off the board I thought there was no way we could get hm. Like all the guys they picked this draft he has some moxie and an extremely high football IQ. He could put up some good numbers this season. Especially if Gallup misses time which sounds likely. His 3 cone time indicates he has better burst out of his breaks than Skyy Moore and his 40 time showed plenty of speed.

Least favorite Bland but I'm still rooting for him. If they keep drafting guys like Wright and Bland they'll eventually find a gem.

My least favorite pick is Waletzko..

He may end up working out at RT. I just felt like there were better swing tackles on the board who could compete for a spot at RT now.

Most: Tolbert/Clark. Love getting Tolbert in three. Awesome value, player that reminds me of Gallup. It was one of the picks where the value AND need was great, whereas a lot of others were need picks, value be damned. Same for Clark. Payoff is a potential starter at MLB in the 5th. Love that.

Least: Matt W. I love the potential. But small school, weak upper body; looking a long term project and I just don't know how we justify the roster spot. Perhaps he will sustain a mysterious injury and land in IR for a year...

Agree with both of these. Was hoping for something spicier with the Bland pick.

I'm here to win the contrarian olympics.

Favorite Pick - Matt Waletzko. High-ceiling project at a premium position. He should get the time he needs to develop with our tackle position settled at starter. A bit redundant with Josh Ball on the roster, but we don't know how good he is and I graded Walezko higher anyways. Should free up Tyler Smith to focus more on being our left guard as a rookie.
Least Favorite Pick - Sam Williams. Majority of people see it, but I don't. It happens and I hope I'm wrong.
Best Value Pick - Daron Bland. He is the player I graded most above where he was selected. The reason I didn't select him for favorite pick is because even if he's as good as I think he can be, he has a steep hill to even make the roster, let alone get playing time.

Favorite: DE De (formerly Sam) Williams

Least: OT Tyler Smith

- Willliams is lightning fast off the edge and produced high number of sacks his final year . Parson like physical specimen in 2nd rd is great value.
- Like it or not, Tyler feels like a developmental project in the first round, so we reach than found value.

Agree on least favorite.

I wanted a TE badly and it's still a headshaker for me, mainly because I hear he isn't a good blocker.

Truly sounds like a Schultz clone.

Favorite is the rest of them as of now. All have high upside and we need superior talent to be able to win given the garbage coaches that would actually work here.

Least Favorite: Tyler Smith

I don’t necessarily dislike him as a prospect but we needed a competent Day 1 starter at LG despite whatever nonsense the Jones Boys are pushing. Smith is raw as poke. He’s a bag of tools and an absolute project. Sure, we can stick him in there as a starter but it doesn’t mean he’s going to be effective. He’s most likely going to be a guy that needs 2-3 seasons to develop. I couldn’t care less if folks are trying to be Uber positive right now, I think he’s going to be a liability as a heavily leaned upon rookie. Fight me.

Favorite Pick: Jake Fergalicious

He is Dalton Schultz but a better athlete. I also think he’s more of a threat after the catch than Schultz. He was in an awful offense at Wisconsin with subpar QB play. He’s going to be a better receiver than what he was able to show in college. His floor is Schultz which is the very reason why the team shouldn’t pay retail to extend Schultz him.

Agree 100% on Smith. Love him as a prospect just nowhere near 24.

Tyler Smith, I can't get behind a raw player in round 1.

Favourite

Jalen Tolbert

Steal at 88, great route runner, gets separation, good speed, can play the slot or outside

I also gotta mention that after day 1 I actually really liked our draft, Clark is a top 50 player if healthy, Ridgeway gives us big nasty, Ferguson is Schultz nex Gen.
