Honestly, I’m always excited to see the guys we draft. I don’t care about draft grades. It takes a minimum of two years to know whether an entire draft is good or not.

There isn’t a self appointed guru on our boards or a so called expert in a media outlet that really knows what kind of draft we had. It always takes time.

The top 6 graded teams all had two 1st round picks and the 7th team had two 1st rd picks and traded 1. It shouldn't be a surprise that Dallas graded out lower. They didn't have the ammunition and they we're picking 24th in each round. I enjoy reading draft grades, but I understanding these drafts aren't graded fairly. To me the surprising thing is the colts didn't have a first round pick and still graded out as the 12th best draft, while teams like the 49ers and dolphins who didn't have 1st round picks graded out 28th and 30th.

Grades mean nothing at this point, 1 to 2 years from now maybe even longer, you may then be able to assign a grade to each teams draft.

If I was in charge of drafting my first 3 Slots woulda been

Breece Hall
Jelani Woods
Jalen Tolbert

Then I'm drafting oline and defense.

In our last round I woulda snatched up Wydermymer from A&M.

I'm not letting woods get past me in the 2nd round. He's 6 ft 7 was 2nd at the combine in speed, and bench pressed 25 reps. Our te did 15 reps and is way slower. I can't pass up a guy who scores a TD every 5.5 catches w good ypc and all the combine strengths.

I'm gonna have a great te core. And rb core. And can get away with a pretty good wr core.

We just needed a decent og and some depth. Not a 1st rounder or a total rebuild

At least we'd have some speed in every skilled position. And some big alpha dog receiving tes to anchor the ends and open up our running attack by drawing coverage away by the sure fear as receiving tes.

You got 2 good receiving tes and you can win with a 10th ranked QB and run attack.

I'd bring in Jared Cook to mentor them.

We could run some 3-4 te formations in the Rz if we wanted too

I wouldn't carry no scrub tes like McKeon and Sprinkle.

I completely agree with this. No one knows how any of these players will turn out. But did anyone doubt Micah Parsons was going to be a good player? Maybe we didn't expect him to be as good as he was but no one thought he would be a bust. I know I do not have that comfort about any of the Cowboys picks this year.

Here's a pretty interesting Tweet from someone that compiled a bunch of the different draft agencies.

Shouts out to Steven Cheah & Thor Nystrom. I have no idea if they're any good at their job or not, but at least they are willing to tell a team their draft sucked.

On a related note, Mel Kiper's grading scale is worthless. 2 A's, 2 C's, no D's or F's, and 28 B's. Also awful is Chad Reuter; dude gave out 19 A's. THEY'RE ALL GOOD DRAFTS, BRENT!.
