With the Cowboys picking at the end of the rd this year, the expectation would be at least 1 impact starter and 1-2 year 1 contributors. Looking at this year's class, looks like we passed that bar:

Tyler Smith-probably starts day 1 at Guard.
Sam Williams-future starter, more of a sub-package player for this season.
Tolbert-with be competing against Washington to become the team's #3 starter.
Ferguson-will become our #2 TE now and possible future starter
Clark-future starter next to Parsons if healthy in yr 2.
Ridgeway-has a chance to be in the DL rotation as a run plugger.

Hope you, the scouts and FO are correct.

Its about stacking good drafts, and this draft has all the signs of being that.
We held the 24 slot, and unrecognizable names is part of drafting at that position.
I look at these draft picks and see a very familiar trait that they all share it seems.
This will prove in due time to be a very good draft.

Day 1 starter at guard doesn’t do us any good if he sucks. Let’s tap the brakes

Impact players should not be defined as just starting. An impact player is someone who significantly upgrades at the position compared to what you already had last season. I doubt our first three picks will be better than Amari, Collins, and Gregory.

We got worse this offseason.

Of course the usual post draft disclaimers but TSmith is a must but maybe the rest wont be starters this year but thats normal as you implied. 2023 should give us some solid contributors

Yes and no. We have guys already in place who should either be as good or better. Lamb should be better than Amari. It’s year 3 now. It’s time to take the next step. Collins sucked last year. And he was unreliable. If Smith or McGovern is reliable than that’s a upgrade. Gregory the player will be missed but his production can be duplicated if Fowler, Armstrong, etc are up to the challenge. I have no doubt we will get better play then Collins and Amari. Gregory was hurt and unreliable as well.

I think we will have multiple starters from this draft class down the line. Outside of the developmental corner and ST linebacker, there is a ton of potential with this group.

This^^^6 sacks last season. I thought he would least log in double-digits, especially as a full-time starter.

We have no idea how any of these guys will turn out.

So, saying this drafted class has "passed that bar" is incredible premature.

On paper, they appear to have several future starters or key contributors, many will agree. Let's see how they develop and judge them after 3 seasons.
