It's a shame that all we have to look forward to as fans is how many comp 5th and 6h round picks we get every year. Teams like the Iggles figure out way to actually bundle players/picks to improve in Rd 1, and not have to rely upon red flaggers and character dudes to make a difference in year 2

We prefer quantity over quality.

Also Jerry usually gets bent over during trades.

Man, imagine the damage we can do with three 6th round picks.
Probably about the same as 4... 5's.

Already looking for that dude with a crap knee or neck fusion...just sitting there waiting to be dug up off the scrap heap.

Nobody loves comp picks like Cowboys fans. Lol
Lol you're not kidding. All longshot picks.

The one time they got the highest one you could possibly be awarded (low 3rd for Byron Jones), they used in on Nashon Wright, who carried a much later grade by every account other than Dan Quinn.

I like Quinn, but there's a reasons coaches coach, and scouts scout.

and then we signed fowler, washington. wouldn't that negate some of the picks?
Good question, and the honest answer is I'm not sure. I dont know all the rules about the comp picks, but Washington has a cap hit of $1MM, Fowler is at $2.9MM.

Looking at other teams $3MM seems to be the magic number overthecap is using to add or negate potential comp picks. They are typically pretty good at this stuff so I tend to trust, but it may very well be wrong.

RIght now over the cap is showing the Cowboys getting a 4th, 6th and 6th for Gregory, Williams, and Wilson. Could still change, wouldnt be surprised if the Cowboys signed someone that knocks off one of the 6ths.

I don't think we sign anyone unless we have a position that's struggling during camp, and it's possible we'd trade to fill it.

As the draft has passed we can sign as many free agents as we want with no comp pick repercussions
