Not to sound terrible but I wonder how her last years were. By that I hope she did not daily wish for the embrace of death. Hate for someone to suffer so long.

I agree. I hope they were pleasant. I wouldn't want to live that long if it sucked.

I fear getting old so bad I lay in bed at night losing sleep over it .
I've actually contemplated what is a painless way to check out before I'm too old to do anything.

So far the best I can come up with is a bottle of pain pills and a 5th of Crown Royal.

When I hear of people this old dying, I always think they spent 40-50 years of being old. I'm hitting 60 in a month and to think these people have been old almost as long as I've been alive.

I don’t want to live to be 70 years old. There is no future in being an old man, especially when your health is not that good. I wouldn’t have a problem passing away several years earlier.

That's fair. I think it all hinges on the health. My father, for example, is 72 and in good health. He still does pretty much whatever he wants. He told me that the second he feels that he can't, he's "checking out" if you know what I mean.

I always think of the massive change they witnessed. Could you imagine how much change the witnessed since being born in 1903?!?
My grandmother died when she was 104. She was born in 1898 and died in 2002. She saw a lot of changes in her life. She had a twin sister and I never will forget her telling me about the first automobile that she saw. Her and her sister was so scared when they saw it that they tore their new Easter dresses when they went through a fence trying to get away the automobile. The closest town to where she lived looked just like one of the towns from a Clint Eastwood movie. She probably saw as much change in her life as anybody I know of.

Jeanne Calment still holds the record as the oldest person who’s ever lived at 122. They believe there’s been older people but they didn’t have a birth certificate.

She was 11 months old when the Wright brothers made their historic first flight. Try wrapping your head around that for a second.

and the brain of a 40 year old. lol

get a water filter or system that takes out fluoride, stop eating preservatives and additives, stop taking vaccines and pharmaceuticals, keep your body supplied with the nutrients it needs, do periodical fasts and things that remove toxins and metals from the body, and maybe that can happen

I was mocking what Jerry Jones said a few years ago.

I hope Jerry doesn’t end up the oldest person in the world. He could still be running the Cowboys for the next 35 years.
