Pollard is the better runner period. HE is also better catching the ball. Zeke and his plodding style with no game to scare anyone doesnt fit this offense.

Im not sure where your getting this consistency thing. Pollard rarely got consistent touches.

If Zeke doesnt have top of the line blocking he cant do much. Dive up the middle for a few yards.
Zeke had a better receiving season. He’s more consistent.

He wakes up in a cold sweat!

Probably more like a wet dream... lol
Zeke's stat leading days are over but I still think he
could put together a good stretch run after Turkey Day.

Sure, show me the stats where zeke had the better receiving season. Pollard has been better every year. Zeke is consistently slow, predictable.

Pollard is clearly the more dynamic, effective back. He would pair great in a RB by committee with a few other good backs. Zeke is done. 15 million dollar blocking FB.

Nobody said Pollard needs to be overpaid. We either resign him or don't based on the market.

Yes it's beyond stupid to cut Zeke and absorb a 36 million dollar dead cap hit. Next year is the year to part ways.

I didn't say we should wait to the last minute to find his replacement. I thought we should've taken a RB this draft. We didn't though, and it's not the end of the world. Replacing Zekes production won't be that difficult imo. Worst case scenario we could transition or even franchise tag Pollard for a season and draft a rb next offseason. That won't break the bank.

It wouldn't make alot of sense to tag a RB that's part of a Committee aka Pollard. imo.

That's like tagging a possession receiving te imo. LMAO

If I was in charge of drafting my first 3 Slots woulda been

Breece Hall
Jelani Woods
Jalen Tolbert

Then I'm drafting oline and defense.

In our last round I woulda snatched up Wydermymer from A&M.

Then I'd go get Jared cook in for 5-6 million to coach them up.

Then trade Zeke to the highest bidder to recoup some of that dead money

I'm not letting woods get past me in the 2nd round. He's 6 ft 7 was 2nd at the combine in speed, and bench pressed 25 reps. Our te did 15 reps and is way slower. I can't pass up a guy who scores a TD every 5.5 catches w good ypc and all the combine strengths.

I'm gonna have a great te core. And rb core. And can get away with a pretty good wr core.

We just needed a decent og and some depth not a first round

At least we'd have some speed in every position. And some alpha dogs who got some sauce

That's what I meant.
We had a chance to get the Best RB in College Football and we pick the 10th best olineman. ha ha ha ha ha ha

It's funny how our fo and fans can turn simple arithmetic into Quantum physics lmao

Zeke's been washed up for 2 years and they're still drinking the koolaide.

If we're paying them we're playing them.

They had a chance to do multiple things in the first 3 rounds. Most of those paths would have forced them to draft an OL in the 3rd since they were dead set on drafting Williams in the 2nd.

next year we'll lose 2 picks trading up to get the best RB and this front office will be considered genius's. Lmao.

I didn't like the Williams pick that much either. Not when there's a blazing fast 6 ft 7 te that benches 25 reps who catches a TD every 5 1/2 passes in Jelani Woods Js
He may be a little raw but he could find that goal line and first down marker almost every time.

We needed a couple of steaks in the skilled positions imo.

And we got a 3rd round wr and 4th round te. We had no shot at getting a top wr. But the top RB and the top te prospects fell into our lap

I woulda grabbed the top RB that dropped down to us. That was a no brainer considering we're gonna have holes next year even if ya thought Zeke was still good for this season imo

We didn't get any players that were tops at their respected positions

Based on the comments Stephen made in the post draft press conference about the RB's, either Zeke or Pollard won't be here after next season.
Watch it be Pollard that won't be here because we all know the Jones boys like to kick themselves... I think they enjoy kicking themselves...

What happens with Zeke is 100% going to depend on what he does this season. If he has a stellar season, he will be kept. If he is avg, he will be cut. I like Zeke, I think he plays hard, but if he isnt exceptional, get rid of him and draft a rookie to replace him. I have ZERO loyalty to any player. If the contract AND the production dont line up with each other, the plater has to go.

I predict that both Zeke and Pollard will be gone after this year. They'll use a 2nd/3rd on a replacement.

Book this. Zeke will not be playing for this team under this existing contract in the 2023 season. He will almost certainly be cut and/or offered a new pay-cut deal. Which is highly unlikely. Touche' Ewok!

you mean how they cut Jaylon smith, collins, Williams, and didnt resign gregory, wilson, turner kazee etc they do make tough cuts with popular names on their backs..ware comes to mind keeping dak over romo

your opinion is also moot because they would cut zeke to save money and sign pollard to show they were smart to stela a starting rb in the 4th rounds that also a jones move..i can see both being gone really if pollard overvalues himself..

When one of those top 2 rookie rbs pop off for 1700 yards and Zeke gets 800 were gonna be talking coulda woulda shouldas. Mark my word.

Geniuses don't follow the trends or the Crowd. They think outside the box. When all of those wrs and ol started coming off the board we should have adapted

Good grief, I can't wait till Zeke is gone
I'm proud to have had his services.

He'll make a good role player for 4-5 million going forward.

Maybe in a 2 rb formation I've been begging for for 3 years. Lol

Sometimes it's better to have a home run Slugger playing DH

The line definitely went in the toilet. No question. But Pollard still averaged a yard more during that time. Do you really want to pay a RB 15 million that has to have a top 5 line to do anything?
Averaged a yard more running different plays. When they asked Tony to run up the middle like a real rb....he averaged the same. Then got his ax whipped blocking.

If I was running this team we'd be watching a top running back like Breece Hall paired w Pollard.

Three good tes Schultz, J Woods, Wydermymer and Jared Cook if I cold get him

And Cooper, Ceedee, Jalen Tolbert, James Washington and Noah Brown

They're just gonna have to work w Connor Williams or a 4th and 5th round olineman js

Ha ha ha those big tes can help block

I agree. I'm not a huge fan of either truth be told.
