NFL Network speculated that the Titans traded up for Malik Willis out of fear that the Cowboys would take him
The 2022 NFL Draft featured only one quarterback taken in the first round, Pitt’s Kenny Pickett, appropriately to the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a long ways until Desmond Ridder heard his name called by the Atlanta Falcons, and a bit longer until Malik Willis went to the Tennessee Titans. As far as the latter is concerned, his new team actually traded up for him and leapfrogged the Cowboys in the process to do so.

Willis would go at pick number 86 and two spots later Dallas took wide receiver Jalen Tolbert. While that all seemed pretty normal and chalk on Monday, it was speculated by NFL Network that the Titans could have jumped the way that they did partly in fear that Dallas may have wanted to draft Willis themselves.

NO buddy, not that complicated. The Oline went in the toilet. Thats the fastest way to ruin an offense. When the QB gets pressure and less time, then he cant do his job properly. And when the are no holes and the Dline gets penetration, the RB has nowhere to go.
Oline didn't go in the toilet. They were average. People expect the Oline to never let the defense touch the QB as the standard. Lets get this straight.....the Oline was average. Games are usually decided by just a few plays. Usually, its up to the QB to make those plays. Most fans will never know which plays were the decisive plays. The QB could have completed pass for 15 yards and may look good on paper, but the QB might missed a wide open WR for a 70 yard TD. SO many what ifs in a game. The best QBs have the fewest what ifs. Dak is middle to bottom in this category because he can't decipher coverage fast enough.

ok I’ll buy average, but now add 7 penalties a game.

zeke can’t run behind an average line.

#1 scoring offense, #1 yardage offense, broke cowboys all time passing TD record. Dak is a top 10 qb no question. I have him top 7.

has no problems at all reading defenses.

Warner, Romo, Aikman, and plenty of other respected analyst thinks differently about Dak's ability to read defenses. That was one of the knocks on his scouting report coming out of college as well.

Sure buddy whatever you say. College was 7 years ago.

I’m sure there’s plenty of trolls that would have this conversation with you.

Every analyst there would have have dak in the top 10. You trolls would get laughed off the set.

No. Dallas is all in on Dak as QB. All draft capital needs to support that. Drafting a QB does not.

Yep, you're a football expert so what you say is golden. You're just like Jerry. Keep thinking you're smarter than everyone else. Only idiot savants think like that. Eventually you will get it right because even blind squirrels finds the nut. Most people can see Dak average at best.

Does anyone have pictures of Dak and Zeke hanging out together? Just curious as to why people think they are friends instead of co-workers.
IIRC - from a few years ago there's one from a deep-sea fishing trip (with other teammates); video of them together at a Stars and Mavericks game...cell phone footage at Prescott's house party during covid restrictions.
Refutations welcome if I'm wrong.

If this were any other team and he struggled this season and it clearly pointed to him, they would most likely go looking and this next draft is much better for QB's.

But this is not any other team, it is run by the whim of one man driven by his ego. He's doubled down before when the tide was turning away. He does not like to admit he was wrong, synonymous with defeat.

Dak Prescott is not an elite QB except with the media coverage and then he is exceptional. He got more coverage about his slump than Brady and Rodgers did combined in a MVP duel. That was not lost on PT Booger. Prescott and the Cowboys are a fit.
As much as a number of CZers loathe the TV sports talk shows, Prescott as an airtime subjectis equals the two QBs you mentioned, along with Mahomes, Mayfield, and Garoppolo.

Dak said it himself that the calf issue was not the cause of his problems the 2nd half of the season. He said he simply didn't play well and I believe him. Why do some fans insist he's lying?
Dak admitted he did not play well , because that is what he is , an average QB who disappears especially against good games and when the running game cannot dominate the LOS . By now everyone knows dak's stats are meaningless in the W-L column and are amassed mainly against the weakest division in the NFL in the last 10 years.

You are wrong....I had a complete reconstruction of my ankle....it took me quite a while to regain full confidence in it. You're just stuck in your dislike and .......this will never change. That's cool, it provides many of us with some good laughs. Salud, buddy.
Dak Hater's are Laughable!

No suprise about this thread..Dak Hater's DID NOT get any NEW Eye Test QBs in the draft to fuel their hate through the Offseason.

Dak Hate takes a lot of energy :lmao2:

Lol!! Looks like Brady when the Giants whooped up on him I. The SB......pathetic to think Dak is the only one that has had plays like that.
.LOL. you crack me up.
Point made when you mention Brady and Dak in the same sentence. You know nothing about the QB position in the nfl. Your post defending Dak are laughable. Thanks for showing your ignorance.
