If he is 100%, he might not be a problem. I think many are sticking the fork in him a little prematurely. And our #1 pick's strength is run blocking so there's that.

Zeke has been average for 3 years now. Now when you have a top 5 Oline, many backs can look good. Pollard is a great example of that.

Lol… so to get this straight: YOU start a thread asking for opinions from the “Doom n Gloomers” on the draft— and then when you get opinions that don’t agree with your own— you sneer and condescend and wax on about those that are critical should just stop being a fan? Lol

I could give 2 socks whether you like the draft, the team, or the Jones family. You are free to drink all the koolaid you want… just don’t act “holier than thou” as if somehow you being “positive” or me being “negative” about this franchise is gonna make a lick of difference in the end.

You dont seem to have an opinion. The FO sucks so what does this all matter anyway right?

Screw the draft, screw the players, whatever none of it matters right? Wow, hell of an opinion. LOL

Again, why even come on here? If none if matters why are you here? Just to tell everyone that we suck?

Lot of simple technique stuff, no discipline, continuity. All coaching 101 stuff.

Williams has sucked since he got here. Several coaches. McGovern just isnt very good. Collins has been out of football for 1.5 years and is a punk.

I dont see Martin or Smith having any problems.

What can I say? I love the Cowboys— and can’t stand what the Jones family has done to the franchise and to the fanbase.

I come on here because I genuinely enjoy most of the discussion— and I never said “screw the draft” or “screw the players”. But yah— I don’t think it matters all that much who we add at this point— as long as the powers that be continue to run things according to the status quo.

I will watch the games— hoping for things to improve. As I said on another post— a broken clock is right twice a day after all. Maybe they luck out and win big— anything is possible.

That said— there are 24 hrs in a day and it’s been 26 years and counting since we’ve even sniffed a NFCCG. By the “broken clock” standard— we should have at least been to 2 lol…

I'm not gonna debate the talent level he had to work with but we've all seen teams lose 4 and even 5 or more or more offensive lineman over the course of a season and still do an adequate job.

this group's performance was just unacceptable they were a pass rush sieve.
I feel some coaches have reached a pinnacle and failed. They are on their way back down and are just happy to be here.

Like our HC and OL coach's.
Then there's coaches like Quinn who reach a pinnacle, fail , but come back and fight harder to become better. those are the kind of coaches I like and usually get results

Can we agree on one thing? The doom and gloomers have a right to be that way?

We'd be better off if we debated what they write rather than assume how they feel.
Yes, I was wondering is a doom and gloomer someone who shares a different opinion?

Zeke had a good burst to him last year. But in the second half between his injury, the OL not being able to block and Moore not willing to run consistently the production fell apart

Williams has not “sucked” since he got here. He’s been above league average but not elite. His mistakes are magnified because they aren’t covered up with splash pancake blocks. The offense wants to go to a more physical style instead of finesse.

Collins actually played last year (not MIA for 1,5 years) and Martin and Smith are walking the edge of their bodies giving out on them. They’re always on the injury report and Smith is good for 3-4 missed games a year and Martin 1-2. Last year Tyron was a reason the team lost the playoff game because he couldn’t come back to his previous form.

I preferred they move on from Tyron this offseason. He’s like DWare. Great if fully healthy but unlikely he ever will be. At least DWare was able to be great in a role Denver carved out for him which didn’t require as many snaps and kept him fresh. It’s not that way for the OL

Seen teams? You mean like its possible?

How did the great Mahomes do when he lost a few lineman going into the SB? Couldnt even score a TD. 9 points.

In my book he sucked. He was the weak link every year and a penalty waiting to happen.

Tyron was the reason? Plenty of reasons. 14 penalties and 9 holding calls. Smith didnt get all of those.

I would be happy if they moved on from Tyron too. They eventually need to . Thats why this rebuild of the line is going to take several years of nailing picks.
