Hypothetical Question about QB

The Cowboys should be drafting a QB in the top three rounds every three or four years regardless of Dak's performance.

With a 17 game schedule it's prudent to have more than one capable QB and the cheapest way to accomplish that is through the draft.

Besides, there are multiple advantages to developing real talent at the position. It creates competition which improves both QB's, it provides leverage during contract negotiations, and it creates potential for great trade value. These are just a few of the advantages of consistently acquiring talent at the QB position via the draft.

But the teams that does that has to have a really good QB development system, do you think the Cowboys have that?

They haven't had that in a long time. Even with Parcells, his comment about Romo, "just wait until they get enough tape on him" was stupid to me. Isn't that your job, bringing the QB along?

I will say that Prescott has improved since he was drafted but is that internal on the team or external with QB trainers?

Point made when you mention Brady and Dak in the same sentence. You know nothing about the QB position in the nfl. Your post defending Dak are laughable. Thanks for showing your ignorance.
Lol!! Anyone like you to make me laugh......

The last two QBs for Dallas was an undrafted free agent and a fourth round pick. Both developed into at least above average starters. Of course, Jason Garrett was the common denominator here so who knows.

I would have thought it would be one of McCarthy's strong points considering the QB's he was associated with in Green Bay.

In fact I remember this being one of the positives expressed by some when McCarthy was given the job.

Yep, you're a football expert so what you say is golden. You're just like Jerry. Keep thinking you're smarter than everyone else. Only idiot savants think like that. Eventually you will get it right because even blind squirrels finds the nut. Most people can see Dak average at best.

No actually everyone agrees Dak is top 10. Does the opinion of a few clueless fans on a forum really matter?

#1 scoring offense in football, #1 passing in yardage and he broke the all time Cowboys TD passing record. LOL

Duh, he is average. You trolls just need to admit you were dead wrong about Dak and maybe life will be better for you as a fan.

Feel free to show me the stats that show Dak is average compared to his peers. Most categories he is either in the top 5 or top 10.

Heck you trolls complained that the team doesnt win games, well we just won 12 of them. LOL

Another laughable theory goes by the wayside.

Dak said it himself that the calf issue was not the cause of his problems the 2nd half of the season. He said he simply didn't play well and I believe him. Why do some fans insist he's lying?
Because if it wasn't his calf issue then it's very troubling.

The first two sentences in your post are a little confusing. If we all think he is top 10, aren't we all clueless?

I draft a QB regardless and have him ready to take over as soon as Dak's contract is up.

I've seen enough of Dak to know that he's not playing well 3 or 4 games in a row against playoff caliber teams like we'll need him to do for us to win a Super Bowl.

LOL, I think you are ready to be a 5th Horsemen on Dak.

Well, that little hitch dance he does before games came from that QB guru either in LA or AZ.

I think all of the NFL QB's work with the guru/trainers in the off season, specifically on mechanics. Russell Wilson altered his deep ball after working with one, that loop that is impossible to defend.

When Archie Manning's sons were barely into their teens, they all worked with a QB coach that he brought to their house and they worked out in the front yard. Never too young to start.

No way Booger is going to take a chance on creating a QB controversy for his guy.

He claimed that most people think Dak is average. ONLY people that think Dak is average are a few bitter fans on this forum that cant admit Dak turned out to be much better then they thought.

The NFL landscape see quite clearly that Dak is a top 10 QB. The numbers also clearly support that when compared to his pears.

So is Dak average or is Dak top 10 in your opinion?

If for any reason the front office decides to move on from Dak it will be extremely hard to draft a top tier QB unless we 1st tank a season after letting Dak walk.

We can’t tank, even if we tried we would finish 8-9 and picking 17.

What makes Dak a top 10 QB? Sub Heineke, Darnold or any other bottom toer QB for Dak and you get similar results. Put those guys with Dallas Oline and skilled guys and they will put up similar numbers and wins. Conversely, put Dak on their teams and Dak will have similar numbers to them. Dak has shown he cant perform without exceptional skilled players around him. Thats what makes him average at best.
