Its was established and proven many times that Cooper wasn't getting double and triple teamed all the time. That appears to be a false narrative that the Cooper apologists have made up in their head.

Any other conclusions that were made based on that false narrative are also false.

Lamb had those great seasons because Dak clearly loved throwing to him and he got open. The guy is a stud. How much of a stud we are about to find out. Now that Cooper is gone the passing game can be more geared to featuring Lamb and his skills.

Its always amazing on here how much hate and made up nonsense can said in a Cowboys player direction simply because they like another player better.

You and the Cowboys should be overjoyed to have Lamb ready to be the #1 option so we can dump Coopers 22 million dollar cap hit.

Now that we have two decent TE's I agree we try to run more of those. As far as Pollard we would only be so lucky of the Cowboys actually used him properly. I have my serious doubts that Moore is capable of doing that. Pollard skills have been largely ignored in this offense. I see him having Deebo Samuel esq skills and potential.
New England game.....no one is apologizing for Bill for making Lamb the star of that game lol. It's either true or it's not. Come on man.

Skill position players are always listed as the most important. They get the headlines and highlights. But I guarantee you no skill position player we have- Dak, Lamb, Pollard, Gallup…whoever- will only be as successful as the offensive line who blocks for them. As this OL goes, so goes the offense. Period.

So in answer to the question, who are the two most important players? I say both Smiths. Tyron and Tyler. If Tyler is capable of handling LG competently AND Tyron is healthy all season, we have a chance for a successful offense. With a bad OL, there’s no running game and we have a weakened passing game.

You mean that beautiful pass in overtime where Lamb beat coverage and Dak threw a perfect pass to win the game?

Love that one. Thanks for reminding me about it.
Yea it was awesome. I had my Lamb jersey standing on top of bar screaming "Lamb Chops" repeatedly. Cooper was hanging out with a few DB's

CeeDee will get the double and triple teams that Cooper was getting. Lamb had those great seasons largely because Amari was the man and was getting the doubles that often left CeeDee one on one with the second or 3rd CB covering him.

I think we will run more 2 tight sets. I think Pollard will benefit from Cooper leaving as well by being more involved in the passing game.
cooper tripled might want to put on the pipe..he was hardly even doubled. But keep floating in the cloud..most of the time he simply had the best DB on him and CEEDEE got doubled

Takes the unit working together, all doing their part. Dlaw isn't getting 12 sacks, but he could force teams to run the other way allowing the other end to reap the benefits.

Outside of QB and Micah, below are the two most important players for next season imo.

1) DeMarcus Lawrence- He needs to be healthy and productive next year. He has been injured a lot but has been productive when healthy. He just hasn't gotten the sack totals. That needs to change next year. For years he was the first person teams focused on. That has changed. Now every team is going to focus on Micah. So Lawrence needs to be healthy, get at least 12 sacks and a lot of pressures. If he can't, this defense will struggle to produce anywhere close to last years results imo. I would expect turnovers to decrease next year.

2) Terrance Steele- The Cowboys offensive line has a ton of questions marks. LG starter, how good is the center, health of Tyron and Zach, TE blocking, can we run the ball, etc. If Steele is not an above average starter than that adds another hole and I believe the line will be a mess a year. It would just add another hole that will be impossible to patch all of them. If he is above average, they have a chance to piece a solid line together. If he is not, it will probably be the downfall of the offense.

Thoughts
ill take TEAM for my answer all of them coaches players etc etc you don't win with 4 guys,, they all oar pretty important.

There's video's all over youtube showing this. Take the time to look it up. Voch Lombardi often would make fun of those that said Amari wasn't getting tripled and doubled by putting random clips of evidence while doing vids on other players. Literally Amari against the Patriots was getting the Randy Moss treatment.

22 million dollar decoy? Impressive.
That's cheap these days. Hated losing him but that's business. I just hope is that Lamb forces that type of attention to open it up for other wide receivers the way Coop did for him.

"Amari Cooper to Cleveland for a fifth-round pick and a swap of sixth-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft."

That was an awful trade .

Coop didnt garner any more attention then anyone else. Thats not to say that all these guys didnt get double covered at one time or another. There were games where they were doubling Shultz on 3rd downs because he was Dak's favorite target on those instances.

You Coop guys just have to accept the fact that Cooper never lived up to his #1 WR status. He started out with a bang that first half of the year and that was about it really. Lamb is a better overall receiver and will likely thrive with the passing offense more geared to him then having to make Cooper happy. Although I did love Coop, not at 22 million.
