The treatment Jerrah gave him will never be matched, so there's that .
He got pampered in Dallas .

That 30 for 30 called "Broke" was pretty depressing.
Exactly. I always hope for the best for anyone who wore the star. What is really depressing is the fact that that episode could be held every week on a different pro athlete for years, and would never run out of content.
So trueI agree, good points. I know they couldn't or wouldn't do it but I wish the players didn't put themselves in compromising situations. Like KJ is one that scares me. Let's say he doesn't any legal problems, he obviously has a decision making problem with his friends. Those guys most likely won't be his friend when the money dries up and KJ will be broke and won't be able to make the money he's making now.
I'll always have a soft spot for Dez. He was the scape goat for an incompetent offense.
his body looks to be in great shape. And his hands can catch anything.
But he’s lost a step. The broken leg and the ACH tear ruined his career.
And that sucks.
there is room for him though. He should look at being a coach.
I worry about him financially. I hope he saved some of his money that he made. I'd like to see him working as a commentator or as a guest on talk shows ala Michael Irvin. It would be rough on the emotions going from an NFL player to irrelevancy in such a short time. I hope things are well for him.
Dez was never a fall guy. Lol. This idea is really absurd. If Dez was a fall guy for the Cowboys he would have another job by now. This thought is absolutely delusional.Became a Fall Guy and JJ dumped him late in free agency........should have been like Noah Brown, don't say anything, and don't do anything.....and he'd probably would have lasted longer on the team. QB, JG, and OC fix things by getting rid of people, instead of looking in the mirror and at film of their own play/play-calling/execution. Dez is done on the field.
He knows how to care for a monkey. If he had learned route running early on he'd be different. What's he gonna teach? Athleticism?
NFL has a retirement system for players w/ at least 3 years of service.I wish the NFL had some type of payment plan to spread the income out for the lifetime of the players. I feel professional sports sets the athletes up to fail financially. You give a young person millions when they are too immature to know that's not going to be the norm. I worry about these guys after their playing days. If a person in their 20s is given millions of dollars they are going to attract parasites and con artists that don't care about them and try to get as much from them as they can. Some athletes are blessed with a good support system but others aren't and by the time they figure it out they can't make the money they used to. That 30 for 30 called "Broke" was pretty depressing.
Financial counseling is available and encouraged for all players.I agree, good points. I know they couldn't or wouldn't do it but I wish the players didn't put themselves in compromising situations. I saw some place mention he had business interestsAll things being equal, Dez seems to be quite fine financially.. Not sure of the concern there.

Dez's downfall was on him, he didn't have the abilities to make himself an elite pattern runner and that hurt him because he couldn't get separation against the good corners in the lead.Dez sounds so desperate. Can't hell but feel sad for him. He's literally begging anyone, specifically the Arizona Cardinals, to hire him even as a backup or mentor. Sounds so desperate.

It's a shame to see our ex-88 this way. What say you?
Hopefully Dez has a boatload of money, he should. Good thing Dez is not a boxer, he would be on his way to Palookaville.
Ugggh maybe he should have caught that ball.
