Some dude named Larry Allen was on that line as well and may have dabbled at guard.
You can cover up 1 lineman, especially a center. Problem last yr was they had 2 within the interior and their tackles misses several games.

They can cover an average one, and I'm not saying Biadasz is or isn't that, but they can't cover BAD one, even if it's only one.

Clay Shiver and Cory Proctor were proof of that.

You can be just OK and be covered....I think that's your point....and I gotcha, but a bad one...no.

On this topic I find it interesting that Biadasz' play dropped severely last year when McGovern replaced Williams. Did Biadasz think he needed to cover him? The way McGovern actually played, jeez maybe.

Either way it looked an awful lot like an average lineman trying to cover a bad lineman, and more of the same when Williams had to go back into the starting role.

Take your pick as to who was actually who in that equation.

I agree, have been saying so for awhile. I loved the Biadsz pick, but so far he hasn't been able to hold up against a power rush. Dak has to have that comfy feeling in front of his eyes in order to stay on the play long enough for it to develop. And Zeke needs a hole these days.

You mean he hasnt been able to hold up a few times against the best DT's in the NFL his first year starting?

I think if they had more picks they would have upgraded him. Jurgens was a 30 visit and it appears Philly thinks we wanted him because they moved ahead of us to get him.

Continuity is huge for the OL, it takes time to build chemistry. I think Biaz is still a developmental player, he has a chance to improve. Having 2 strong guys around him, will only help

Thought Jurgens had similar issues as Biaz, more athletic, but will struggle against the big NT’s. If they wanted a good center, Zion Johnson was the best fit

6-3/303 with 33 3/8 inch arms. Lindenbaum 6-2/296 with 31 1/8 inch arms.

I think many are frustrated that they didn’t do a full rebuild for the OL. They like a few prospects that they drafted and want to continue with their development.
I could the same question again, but I gotcha either way.

Thanks. Appreciate you.

I remember a play near the goal line ( Dallas ) when it called for a run to get it out of the shadows and Moore dialed up a pass the center got pushed back into Dak resulting in a loose ball in the end zone and I want to say it was the Giants who recovered for 6 .

And Biadasz/Farniok aren’t the answer. Neither are UDFA’s Lindstrom (296) and Empey (25 years old).

I have my eyes on 6-6/320 Joe Tippman from Wisconsin. Started for first time at C last year and was the 3rd ranked C in the country by PFF.

Biadasz is listed as 316 at 6-3 on the Cowboys' site. I don't really think mass is his problem or power. He had some leverage issues at times where he allowed big NTs to get under him and drive him back. That can be easy to do in pass pro because you are trying to step back and get set. They took advantage by charging right into him to keep him from anchoring.

I do like that we upped the center competition because there are some questions that have to be answered about Biadasz, but one of those isn't whether he has enough size.

Hargrave for Philly drove him back and Cox recovered.

It would be crazy to give up on 2nd and 3rd year players so quickly. Especially since they’ve had to play next to Conner Williams. I’ve heard great thing about Farniok and he’s gained 15 pounds of muscle this offseason. Player development matters.

This is true but wondering if it was really his fault? You can see Conner Williams standing there doing nothing on that particular play…something tells me Conner was supposed to help on the play. I’d guess Hargrave would win 1v1 vs 98% of the centers in the league.

+1...........stated in another thread before the draft the FO was much higher on Biadasz than many fans/media. As for rebuild, with Tyron's contract expiring after the 2023 season, I'm guessing they'll revisit the LG position after moving Tyler Smith.
