I said as much months ago. The Cowboys could 100% use him in the same way that SF does. The lack of creativity by the OC and the fact that he continues to over use a slow and limited Zeke is troubling.

I kind of let it slip my mind with the possibility of Gallup missing time, but I would still like to see Pollard being used in that slot receiver-type role with Elliott also on the field. I think him coming across the formation to either fake the jet or take it would keep defenses from pinching down to stop the middle runs as much. Plus, he can motion into the backfield some.

I think he's proven in his career so far to be more of a plus on the field than Washington has, so I'd plan to get him on the field more than Washington (when Gallup is healthy). He doesn't just have to take snaps away from Zeke to be useful. Makes it where, if Gallup is out, we don't necessarily have to count on Washington and Tolbert being good enough to pair with Lamb. We'd just need one of them to be good enough to pair with Lamb and Pollard.

What happened to McCarthy being an offensive genius? Does he not have input? Because no linebacker in this league could cover Pollard in the slot, but neither of our offensive guru's have even tried it.

Has Jerry forbidden it? Or is McCarthy and Moore just that dumb?

Love the Pollard highlights!

Seems like the ‘replace Zeke with Pollard talk’ around here went silent after the season ended.

Everyone thinking Zeke going to get healthy now? LOL

IMO yes, and many have been calling to see Pollard used in the slot and in a "web back" role in 21 personnel. I think the front offices have intimated that they are looking to get the ball in Pollard's hands more and I suspect/hope the intention is to take a page out of the 49ers book. Lets not forget though that Pollard is his own man with a slightly different skill set. He did have over 1,000 all purpose yards though so not like he's completely wasted. But it'd be nice if he could be utilized a bit more in the red zone and in tandem with Zeke. Especially while Gallup is injured and we might be a little thin at receiver.
Hell yes! Preach.

He's not a fulltime back.....if they make him one, they will use him up like they did Zeke. I agree he needs to see the field more, but he should be in the slot on passing situations and Zeke in the backfield, especially because of his blocking skills.

So, we're just not using the man correctly.....that's what I'm getting out of this.

That’s shocking actually. Pollard may be gone to FA in 23 with plenty of miles left In the engine.

I can see the Chiefs coming up with some plays with Pollard / Edwards Hellaire sharing time .

its not do we have

its will we use in the right situations

1st and 10 doesnt always mean slam it up the gut with elliott

Put Pollard in motion and hand it to him on a sweep or a touch pass

Pollard was *drafted* to be a web back. Then once they discovered he could be a real RB too, they decided to forget about the webback thing.

The Cowboys, wasting talent for decades now.

The way this coaching staff has underused pollard is borderline criminal. He’s a big play waiting to happen every time he touches the ball.

Pollard will be the fastest Cowboy whenever he is on the field.

And like last year, they will never send him deep.

They really know how to waste RBs. Pollard should get out of here before they destroy him like they did Felix.

Zeke’s owed money is absolutely a factor. There’s also not a shred of doubt in my mind that Jerry wants/wanted Zeke to be Emmitt’s heir apparent.

Zeke is the heir apparent to Earl Campbell, not Emmitt.

And that's being *nice* to Zeke.

This was never supposed to be a bash Zeke thread.

Just thinking outside the box and maximize resources we already have
