What's the plan for the run game?

It is not so much Pollard needs more touches, well a little bit more. It is idiot Moore needs to use Pollard and Zeke as he did the 1st 5 or 6 games. Not as he did the latter half of the season.
He went away from what worked as usual.

I think Zeke has a bounce back year. And Pollard is a great compliment at RB, but needs to be used more in the receiving game. As he is so quick and fast once he is in open space.
Of course as you said, fix the OL for all around success for the run game and passing game.

he didn’t use them any different buddy. Why would he change something that is killing it?

they are gonna trot out zeke and plod his slow butt up the middle. Pollard will be under used.

teams will continue to play a two deep until the line starts opening big holes which is the only way zeke goes anywhere.
I'm always hopeful for all things to be best case once the season starts, but I can't see how the run game improves for 2022.

I was hoping for a fresh legged back in the 3rd or 4th round, but.....in Zeke we trust, right Jerry?

Lucky to have him and that contract was in no way a mistake. Here's the ball.

Then when the run doesn't work Moore just abandons it. After all, yards are yards right?

I'm not really a fan of his as an OC. Or at all really. I know you're done with Zeke too, not sure your thoughts on Moore.

when your RB is averaging 1.2 ypc in the first quarter you usually fall behind. And yah, you can’t and shouldn’t run as much.

Moore was at fault for certain things but not that.

Don’t expect a better team than last year.. We should see a drastic step back this season but results will be similar because our division stinks.
you didn't like the micah parsons pick or expected us to go 12 wins so your expectations are always in the basement going into the year. Great way to start the season as you have nothing to look forward to and then take claim that you are the forums arm chair GM

He sure did do things different later on it the year. I know the injuries to the OL and both RB's had something to do with it. But when it did not work, he kept it up.

the sad thing here is i think they have to justify him being cut, like the did last year with amari's production

You have 2 injured RB's, and an OL with injuries and not playing well. You have a stacked 8 man box, but yet you keep trying to run Zeke up the middle into that stacked line.
You try to run Pollard outside, when he doesn't have the burst he had before his injury.

Need to be creative, and he wasn't. Yes, I am positive of that.

so you sit here and say rb we’re hurt and line was hurt and then turn around and blame Moore? Lol

The reality is that the defense backed off into a two deep zone and dared us to run zeke. 8 man stacked boxes? Go watch again buddy.

zeke ran up the middle because it’s all he can do. Zeke is predictable and limited which makes us predictable.

Moore should have passed more early and ran pollard Moore. He didn’t bench zeke. That was his mistake.

I know what you mean.

Everything is a sales job to make it look like it was the right move.

Anyone who think that the team shouldn't get out of that contract at the first possible second hasn't been paying much attention.

It's not even a knock on Elliott, it's just the nature of the position.

Ill guess that they are suddenly back to the same line of thinking they claimed to have when Murray wasn't retained.

Then they take a RB in the 1st round the year after.

The rinse/repeat line was invented for these two.

now that elliot knows that he is on the edge and about to be pushed off, watch him have the best season of his career and make Jerry question cutting him - this always happens. Zeke didn't train like he gave a rats *** for the first two years, that is the player we picked at #4, we could have had the best corner in the last decade instead.

I expect Zeke to have an amazing year, in order to have his future in question rather than not here as it is right now

I honestly dont know if he is capable.

I once questioned his motivation but I don't think it's about that. I think he is physically shot. Nature of being a running back....getting whacked on carries and colliding hard in pass protection.

Also with him.....he had a ton of miles on him when he got here.

That all said.....even if he has his best year in 2022 he still needs to be gone the minute it's over, pay cut or not.

Need fresh legs back there and I hope the RB and TE positions are each remade by the start of 2023.

I believe I had us at 11 wins and didn’t know Micah could rush off the edge just like the rest of the NFL.

I’m still not enamored with his linebacker play because it wasn’t anything that special coming out of school. He’s just an athlete with a long way to go. As a pass rusher he’s unique and I Pom Pom’d that quickly while most of you nannies are scared he won’t hold up.

Hope that Kellen and Dak aren't so predictable with their tendencies that every defense knows when a run/pass is coming

McC is not a run based HC and he fits really well with Moore and Booger's desire to showcase Prescott as one of the top QB's is the driving force.

The Cowboys were a 60% passing team and I do not see that changing. Booger did not hire either McC or Moore to be anything less than that,

And the league is also doing the same thing with the top 2 paid positions on teams being QB and WR. Teams want to be able to run it when they need to but it is all about the QB and his receivers.
