He is bigger (not height wise) and better than Urban.

I have looked at Ridgeway a ton since the draft and think he is better than Travis Jones and I really don't see the difference with Jordan Davis. Davis has more size (1" and 20 lbs) and is slightly more explosive (used extremely rarely) but ridge has a motor and a bad man demeanor. I see him on the field for 90% of the snaps on defense and actually leading his defense.

Davis is on the field for 40-50% of the snaps and half of those he is gassed.
Urban's injury last year killed the run stopping.
He was poor a couple weeks until they sat him down and no one really stepped up.
Giving up 100 yards a game weekly and 169 in the playoff game was basura.
Spend all that money on offense and they don't even have the ball.
You have to stop the run.

Columbia is expensive but nice. My son was recruited to Mount St. Joseph private school in Baltimore for baseball, didn't want to move to Baltimore. Columbia was close 20 minutes from school and out of Baltimore...lol
Don't Blame ya,
Baltimore is scary.
Took a wrong turn down there once.
Was afraid if I stopped at a red light I would lose my hubcaps.

This will be a little different, but for today's last word we go to Cowboys vice president of player personnel Will McClay, the draft his yearly baby. On 105.3 The Fan this week, Will was asked about the Cowboys' fourth of four fifth-round picks, "Big" John Ridgeway, the 6-5, 321-pound 1-technique defensive tackle from Arkansas. Specifically, what made him so intriguing to the Cowboys?

"It's a big man's game, and big men who do the right things and know who they are," McClay said, meaning Ridgeway knows his responsibility is to clog the middle against the run, take on double-teams. "This guy knows who he is, knows what he's all about.

"And that's something that is going to be important to our defense, especially in our division. You know, moving forward you've got to win the division first, but you've got to stop the run first."

No kidding, and last year the Cowboys were only 16th against the run, giving up 112.8 yards a game, opponents rushing for more than 100 yards 13 times with 12 of those in the final 13 games. And need I point out in the playoff loss to San Francisco, the Niners went for 169 yards and two rushing touchdowns, one Deebo Samuel's 26-yard run.

Yeah, everyone needs a "Big John" in there to take some shots.

Finally, they get it. If they had read the forum this has been brought up here ad nauseam that Dallas needed large DT and also real FS.. 1 tech DT and roaming FS type of players. They've been run on even before the niners last season. So that was not surprising at all. Glad they finally took our advice. Stop the freaking run.

Wow, throwing out the insults....I know what it means. You re the one that needs to learn something. You need to learn a lot actually.
You can't handle the truth so insult as usual.

LOL, reality is that nothing could be more different than Mickey talking about the Cowboys draft and Kiper evaluating players

that’s why it was natural to assume you have no idea what you’re talking about other than being your usual homer self

...the trick is that you can be critical ( and Helman and Spags are very critical at times.) without being negative, demeaning, demoralizing, throwing shade, accusatory, or mocking ...like say one ex Cowboy Journalist...Bryan Broaddus... Now Bryan is a sports jock at Dallas's "Flagship" station 103.5 the Fan...Where along with the Fan Gang he can safely be "negative" on the Cowboys every chance he gets without retribution!

Are they paid by the Cowboys organization? Jerry Jones?
I can almost guarantee if they are, Jerry Jones approves it

Maybe he's objective, just hard to write about your boss
When he signs the paycheck.
I wouldn't even call him objective.
Has he ever written a story about Jerry's love child? Jerry's penchant to play coach? A story criticizing Jones for not inducting Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor?
Maybe he has. I don't know nor keep up with him.
But if he's being paid by Jerry Jones, I can almost guarantee he writes nothing unless Jerry reads it first.
I used to work for a major corporation and wrote the CEO's/President's columns for the company newsletter.
The CEO/President ALWAYS read my columns offered on his behalf. Powerful, rich men ALWAYS seek to control their image and the image of their product.

Who in the media are the Jones's harshest critics?

Those are the journalists.

Mick is more of a columniist for Cowboys fan sites or web sites and less obligated towards being unbiased.

You serious?
It's hard to be objective writing about the boss when he's signing the paycheck.

You just don’t like the truth? Or any of his stuff.
You just don’t want to hear anything positive that you disagree with.

He gave some facts about something that goes against your narrative. So you call homerism. Wow.

Are you spoiling for a fight Jazz?
I brought up a legitimate concern and you go off the rails with it.
Why can't we disagree with each other without the name calling ?
I have never called you a homer or called you anything other than a Cowboy Fan.
I respect your right to have a different opinion.
I sure wish you would reciprocate.
I guess the days of civil discourse are long gone around here.

I never called you any names. I said you were calling homerism about something that I don’t feel it was homerism. About something that someone else wrote in an article.

I never called you a homer, maybe you got me confused with another poster?
You called me a whiner in another thread yesterday.
That's what I referred to.
