Not recommending this necessarily, but it occurs to me that Pollard came into the league considered a hybrid RB/WR by many.

Count me as one of those uncomfortable with going from Cooper/Gallup/Lamb as our primary 3 receivers to Lamb/3rd Rd Draft Pick/Replacement-Level FA to start the year. So, I'm pretty firmly in the camp of those who want to see another addition to the WR room, maybe a Cole Beasley or a Keelan Cole.

But let's say that doesn't happen.

Think KM would look to incorporate Pollard more into the passing game as a receiver. Not suggesting he would be a full-time receiver, but that perhaps the idea would be to fill the Gallup void "by committee," with Pollard being a prominent member of that committee.... ??? (Yes, that's a question, not a statement wrapped in a question. :) )

Let's go ahead and say Cole Beasley The Return does not have a snowball's chance in Hades of happening.
:hammer: for many reasons and one is the same to why AC missed 2 games last year plus what he said after he left..there were words...

2-3games is easy to cover up we can run more and well we can go 12 personal use 2 Tes etc with Less wrs..its not rocket science.

and with the use of pollard, Washington, and Tolbert etc and lets not count out Vasher, Semi, and well the UDFAs we brought in we've found Austin and Beasly that way and others..

the OP thinks a bit too hard its what camps for..if after camp the Coaches dont feel good about the depth they will make small move for vet available NOW.

there is always an internal answer, but fans need to wait until all the OTAS, camps, and TC especially Preseason is complete to get the big picture of where are weaknesses are.

Please…no Cole Beasley. He’s been a pretty good slot receiver in this league…emphasis on pretty good. I’m not anti-Beas, just have never been that impressed to begin with.

Beas averaged about 31 yards per game while here in Big D. With some good years in Buffalo his career yds per game is still only about 35 yds per game. That’s the definition of overrated. Having him here would not be anything I would consider an upgrade and would probably just occupy a roster spot we could use to develop a young receiver with more upside.

Yes, I think we're going to hear more and more about Pollard being used like Deebo. He's a guy that you want with the ball in his hands, whether as a receiver or as a tailback.

Saying that, I'm reasonably confident that Lamb, Tolbert and Washington will be a competent set of starting WRs until Gallup gets back.

when we end the season missing the playoffs your ilk will be lining up to make excuses for your boi Dak saying “well he was missing Gallup for the first 3 games so what do you expect “ LOL

If we play Pollard like Deebo he won’t make it through the season

I feel like this is steaming from the "Pollard and Deebo are the exact same height and weight" posts.

A lot of people are the same size as Deebo. That is not what makes Deebo good.

That's true. What makes Deebo good is his versatility and that he's electric with the ball in his hands. Pollard has those traits too. They're not the same player -- Deebo relies more on strength and the ability to absorb contact -- but it doesn't take too much imagination to see how they can be used in similar fashion.

I'm all for using Pollard more, but if people think he's going to have Deebo type of production then they are setting themselves to be disappointed I believe.

So in one offseason, our new #2 WR would’ve been our old #5 WR.

I'm not usually Captain Optimism, but I am confident in what Lamb, Washington and Tolbert can do.

I haven't given up on Fehoko either.

IMO this doesn't crack the top three problems on offense.
#1 build and OL that can stay healthy and be consistent. hardest group in the world to shuffle around and be consistent. they play as one and flow like tides together..when you have to constantly shuffle the oline to cover up missing players its not a recipe for success.

I’m curious to see how that udfa last year from Iowa does in tc and preseason. Brandon Smith? He showed a lil something last year in tc.
