Jason Kelce is a likely HOF and plays at 285-290.

C’s over 320+ are the outlier, majority of the good ones weigh between 305-315. Lindstrom will need to add 10 pounds of NFL weight for sure, but that’s really not a crazy task.

No idea how this board has run with the idea that a C needs to be huge to be affective. You would be writing off some of the best modern C’s to play the game because they are “too small”

Right. Centers don't have to be big because they are generally the most protected position on the line. If they are unprotected, it's usually because they are picking up a blitzer, which is generally a player still giving up 30-plus pounds to them. Defensive coordinators, of course, want to isolate them against big nose tackles to take advantage of the size mismatch, but scheme is supposed to keep the number of times that happens limited.

That's not saying power isn't a good thing. I think one of the reasons we were so effective on the line with Frederick was because he played with power. But other centers like Kelce show that it doesn't have to be all about size.

Also, here's Amon Simon.

Simon was the only one I had not looked at film on. He looks pretty solid at this level of play. Of course, there's no way to know if can play at this level, but an interesting small-school guy nonetheless.

By the way, how do we miss out on signing Carson Strong?

Can't we also match Philthy's offer?

I like he's not that mobile, but he's very accurate..

Usually undrafted QBs are going to go to a team that pursues them. It is about money a little, but ultimately a player in that position will respond to those teams where there is the best opportunity.

I don't think we had much interest in the QB position at all. And do not believe that Malik Willis nonsense either.

And that is pretty disappointing when you look at Rush, Grier and DiNucci and our leadership is acutally comfortable with that.

No interest at all in the QB position. Or you burn that 6th on Carson Strong....

It's insane he was still there, at that point.

You're probably spot on.

By the way, Grier was good in college. But I feel like Dinucci will be better in the pros.

Has pretty decent processing.. Could benefit from playing basketball and dribbling around defenders. That's how Romo had those escaping feet all the time.

He's still pretty good in the pocket. He's just toast if the pass rush gets to him, but Dinucci has moxie.

This is interesting.

Pass pro monster.

I think Empey has the biggest shot at making it in camp.

He's the real deal, as this guy points out.

Very smart player.

BYU has another center behind Empey, too.

It would be interesting to see the number of UDFA's that make the teams after they dropped the draft to 7 rounds from 12.

Think I heard this on Sirius NFL Radio that an average 2 UDFA make a squad each year.

These teams move pretty quickly after the draft so I am assuming they've already talked to these players about what if they don't get drafted. Not a fun talk to have with a young man chasing his dream. But a second chance can make that dream a reality.

Yes, they do. They have already contacted certain players to tell them if they don't draft them, they want to sign them as free agents.

MM is absolutely smitten and slavishly devoted to DiNucci.

Didn't know that. But I also like the player.

I haven't been around for a while, as in keeping track with football. But I spent some time watching. DiNucci can play. He's not a finished product yet..

That's what McCarthy has to be seeing.
