It’s possible but not likely. Letting him play out his contract and leave in free agency will actually cost you 22m$ in dead cap because of how Jerry has structured it.

So unless the team goes 4-13 each of the next two years, or Dak gets in some kind of PR nightmare, he’ll need a long term extension before the 2023 season to alleviate all of the dead money in 2024 and 2025.

They do this with a lot of players. ESPN has him listed as 6'3, I saw another site listing him at 6'4. Even the draft board I was looking at had him at 6'3. So that's where all of this is coming from.
