If he performs in the pocket like he did the end of last season hes not the one that needs to be gone it's Kellen Moore who has him in the pocket instead of moving.

If the Cowboys get off to a bad start the last thing they would do is bench their franchise QB for a QB that’s had only one career start. You’re not going to dig your way out of a bad start with Cooper Rush or Ben DiNucci…get real! Lol

We went 8-8 under Romo three straight seasons and he never got benched. You don’t bench your franchise QB unless you have a better option. We didn’t have a better option then and we don’t have a better option now.

Given that Zeke played terrible last year after his injury and continued to start the entire time, it would have to be something ridiculous. Like, an 0-15 start. Dak could take a dump on Jerry's desk and he wouldn't lose his job.

If we get off to a bad start it won’t be the QB it will be what’s around him and the coaching. Our OL is in question as is our WR position. We’ll be starting the season with three of our top four receivers out from last season. Amari and Cedric aren’t coming back and Gallup may not return for the first few games of the season. Good luck trying to string together wins by benching Dak. Lol

Hell look at us trotting out zeke last game just to get a 1000 yards no one cares about or running zeke over Pollard half the season. Pollard had what like 4 or 5 touches against the 49rs which is disgustingly criminal.

One of the important points about a team pulling a starter is if they feel a backup has any kind of potential they need to see or if he gives them a commensurate chance to win the football game.

Dallas hasn’t attempted to invest in its backup QB position since… well, Dak, besides that one year of Dalton. There is no one to bench him for; if he starts the season 0-3, 0-4, 0-5, then Dallas wouldn’t be able to convince anybody that Rush or Dinucci or whoever could have done better. Dak will stay in even if it’s 0-17.

And your premise that losses means bench the QB is wrong. Team game. Losses do not mean the QB is playing poorly.
