(@Proof) i'm shocked the CAP stretched Giants, who needed to get out CAP overspend, couldn't find a trade partner.

yeah, the comparison you should be making here is La'el. Not Amari. But we've beat this horse to death.

Crazy a team didn't want him for a 10.1mil cap hit that could of been restructured or extended to lower the cap hit if needed.
Extending was the only option to cut cap hit and then he would have probably wanted more per year
They are in a unique situation in that they are cap stretched and a bad team. Most teams get cap stretched trying to get better, they got worse lol

Would be great to use some of our excess cap for a one year deal for him as insurance for when Bossman gets suspended. He and Diggs would be great, and allow Bossman to learn another year and take his suspension without hurting the team. But probably too smart and logical for Stephen to do. Better to just make an honest offer and move on.

Buyer beware, he really struggled last yr after have a great 1st season with the team. Unless you are getting him at a discount, hard pass!
If he's cheap and better than #30, go get him Jerruh! :D

Might as well forget him. He's not coming to Dallas. Too expensive. Cowboys don't have the capspace.

According to an ESPN article the Giants said several teams were interested in trading for him if they could get a restructured deal but we unable to come to terms with him on one and therefore passed.

Also, his salary would have been $13.5 million not $10.1.

"Yeah, I was," he said Wednesday on WFAN Sports Radio. "I thought there would be more interest. There were some teams that showed interest pre-draft, and we had a couple different times there were compensation in place and the contract never worked out. Being the fact that we did have good talks with the other teams and their agents had good talks with teams, sometimes if you're going to renegotiate a contract and couldn't come to an agreement, it is what it is."
