But what do you think about a quarterback being fresh with another team does he have a better shot or does he have a better shot staying with the same team

Considering only 2 QBs have won a SB with 2 different teams, I think that's your answer.

There’s always an exception. But he did have to go to another team didn’t he. I believe that’s my point. Nick Foles sucks but he won a championship because he was fresh. Same thing with Stafford. Same thing might happen with Russell in Denver. That’s all I’m trying to say

If only Stafford could lead his offense to a game winning playoff drive.

I get it, but I don't agree.....it takes much more than a QB to win a SB.

At this time in their careers, Manning, Brees, Elway and alot of very good to great Qbs didn't have Superbowl wins.... but the somehow Dak has been given a shorter leash than any other quarterbacks that came before him with pretty much only 5 complete seasons under their belt.

For the "geniuses" here... according to their logic, i guess Trent Dilpher, Nick Foles and Matt Stafford are better than Dan Marino because they won a Superbowl and Dan didn't.

The league catches up with your limitations.

I'm telling you, roll out the 2016 offense, use Pollard as they did Zeke back then and we've got a shot

Dak is an elite QB who gives the Cowboys a chance to win any game they step into regardless of opponent

will he win a superbowl? yes he can, will he is another questions....but hes more than good enough to win one

some people call Marino Loser and Dilfer winner (as opposed to one being a champin and the other one not)....but hey who cares, definition of words in webster shall be changed ;)

If his receiver isn't 3 yards wide open, the pass is low in the dirt or high and outside. That is panic to me.
so we must have had some great, awsome, fantastic WRs to be open so much that Dak had a 69% completion rate, 4th best in the league.

your response was very lazy and not well thought through

Dude made an excellent point on why Prescott shouldn't have been paid the way he was. Bravo!
again, his salary doesn't have anything to do with not being able to sign players, evident this year that we have 25M in cap room and didn't sign anyone and last year his cap hit was 17M. less than 10% of the cap.

lazy not well thought through response......

Listen Daks a good QB. I’m not someone who thinks he’s elite or that thinks he’s horrible. He can win a SB.

My issue with winning a SB with this group and Dak is kind of the Garrett-esque culture that has not been completely fumigated. Dak brings some of it. Many players do. It’s the sound byte culture of “do our jobs, be men, be brothers “ etc. Sounds like a greeting card for athletes. We need to throw that out. Get peeved when we lose and say “we suck, we need to get better.” Take it to teams. Have some bite to match the bark. Stop blaming refs. You’ve earned nothing.

Maybe that comes from the Joneses too but this team has a QB and cast to win games and compete for more….though I think we were more talented last season. I just think we have a culture issue inside some of the guys. It’s not Daks not good enough. It’s he needs to be more of a critical leader. Can’t just throw out what sounds good. We need someone to snap at dudes and get some focus. He got sprayed by the Pepe Le Garrett and needs to rinse it
it does come from the joneses, everyone learns from the top. provide sound bites, be politically correct, don't rock the boat, don't talk about problems.....its protecting an image that's worth over $2B......and counting

I don't see Dak getting any better.

I'll take it a step further and say that I see Dak declining this year. The players around him have gotten worse and he never recovered after that Denver game. There is nothing to suggest that the teams we play won't continue to do what they've been doing, therefore leading to Dak constantly playing confused.
probably an accurate assessment. I don't see us having gotten better. we are spending less money, raised ticket prices, have three players in top 25 in Jersey sales...so we are more profitable.

They kept the Niners to 23 so they should have won that game but they had too many self-inflicted mistakes and the player that had the best game was Vander Esch. When that happens, they're in real trouble.

The problem stems from how they came out of the gate, did in that 2016 playoff game as well and that was a different staff.
Who would you say had the best game on offense? Honest question, it can be a number of players.

Not entirely true. There are many times you can point to significant plays GOOD QB's makes....that takes a team to a super bowl and win.

Yes...it takes a D (sorry Tony!)...a team. But the QB is one of the most significant single positions on the field. There are some very lucky, very average QB's that got a super bowl (aforementioned Johnson, pretty average imho, I think even Eli was average). But....MOST teams get to and win with an adept QB....don't you think?

Like a D helps a QB...the QB can certainly help the D! I think we did that in 2014 and 2016.

Some people feel they haven't seen that on a consistent basis from Dak. Even some of Dak's most enthusiastic critics say we could win a superbowl WITH A GOOD TEAM around him...as you seem to agree with here.

I am disappointed this " #CouchCoach " guy refused to respond to my reply. It makes me think I was SPOT on. I want to be countered and questioned//,,,,,with respect of course.

is to go as far as his team goes around him..Im sorry a QB will have tough time wining on his own and overcoming so many penalty's i mean from TG on this team averaged close to 10 penalties and 100 yards of penalty's per game. That has to stop..

a qb any qb will have issues playing without Run game threat, without better play calling in big games, Moore lost a lot of chess matches with better DCs.

sure dak had some issues but hes not the reason we lost those games down the stretch or the SF game..it was mistakes and lack of execution down the stretch in big games.

No just Jimmie Ward either....

"They need to give Zeke some of Dak's money," an AFC defensive coach said, per ESPN 's Jeremy Fowler. "He scares you the most on that offense."

Dak is not very respected when it comes to game planning it seems.

This must be a pretty old quote, I don't think Zeke scares anyone as an offensive threat anymore.
