I’m still burned up about the SF game. Is this normal?

Folks I’m 33 I’ve never really seen a SuperBowl. Usually each year my buddy and I go to the home opener wherever it may be and this is the first year in awhile I said no thanks I’m just going to watch from home. I’ve reached that point for the first time in my fandom where they need to show me before I spend, especially with how pricey things are anymore. I know I’m not the only one whose frustrated, but not even the Dez Caught It game had those feelings lingering as long as our last loss for me (maybe because we got screwed that game and this time we screwed ourselves). I’m looking forward to the season but I just can’t hand over my credit card till I see something different

Football is it a very emotional sport. Yeah it’s normal. I’m still pissed we lost of the Steelers in the 70s

no New year new season leave it be,.

Im still upset at the SF game back in 94/95 with our beloved great 90s team got down 21-0 and lost by 10..i mean what's the difference??

I could still be upset over the dez no catch rule...

or the Romo Seattle game on the botched kick hold

still mad at Crayton ?? yup

how about the "THE catch" wasn't that SF again..lol
how about losses to PB in the 70s over odd bounces and no replay lol

Yup. You should be pissed. We all should. It’s not just that they lost in the playoffs— again.

It’s the WAY that they lost that is so revealing and disheartening.

They got bullied.
They came out flat.
They played gutless football for 3 quarters.
The coaches did not respond to adversity.
The players were like deer in the headlights.

In short— this team was exposed as a fraud. A talented fraud. Lots of players who think they’re “elite”— but this team lacks the football character, discipline, heart, and will to compete at the highest levels.

That is why I think you, me, and many fans are still in a place of disappointment. Nothing has changed. The roots and problems within the organization are still present— so why will the results be any different going fwd?

For me, hard to be pissed over it when I knew there was a good chance the team would lose.

Not really sure why you had expectations of winning the game to begin with.

props and kudos for not signaling out A PLAYER and or individual, it was team loss for sure.

for me the 14 penalty's were the sole reason given the 6point loss..

Don't worry, dude. It's normal. I'm still bummed about the 1981 NFC Championship that the Cowboys totally would have won if the refs had caught the PI on Eric Wright in the endzone that prevented Doug Cosbie from getting a TD.

You’ll start to get over it and it won’t bother you in the least after a few more years. I stop letting this team dictate anything to do with my life over 10 years ago. It is what it is and it will not change till the Jones boys are out of the picture. You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning or winning the lottery than this organization winning a SB anytime in the near future.

I agree with your assessment. We had always been more physical than the 49ers until last year in the playoffs. It is how we lost being bullied by them in particular that was very disheartening. I am confident though that they won't do it again. I was pleased with the draft because there was an attempt to focus on the trenches.

Were you around to see the Clark "Catch" game? I saw it live. Problem is that crap has been replayed for decades. This last lost won't even be remembered.

There's much more to life than a sport that really has no meaning to anything at all outside of its little bubble. Don't waste your time and energy getting upset over the out comes of what happens. Especially when it involves a franchise like the dallas cowboys. Stop caring and invest that energy into deeper things in life and being a Cowboys fan will be much easier for you.
