Not only do they look like brothers, but Sam Williams & Micah Parsons measured almost identical in every comparable measurement at their Combine/Pro Day.

It's amazing how similar their measurements are. Micah is slightly faster in the 40 than Sam, but Sam put up better 3-Cone Drill, 20 yd shuttle times and slightly more bench reps. There are other visible measurement slight differences I'm leaving out for further discussion for everyone.

If Sam "De" Williams can perform similar to Micah Parsons, oooh Nellie, the Dallas Cowboys and fans are going to have one of the best pass rushing duos in the whole NFL!

What say you?

He have the mesurables and the production in college. I dont see why he should not pan out. Just let him pass rush and we should be good. Slowly work on his run game throughout the year.
Run game stuff is overblown. A 260 pound guy is not going to hold up very well playing 4i technique in a 3 man front. And the other two DL were undersized as well so he got no help.

Check this out...had to share...:)

"After seeing his father show off his speed on the field, Sam Williams’ son decided to run his own 40-yard dash outside the family home. After getting down in his best attempt at a sprinter’s stance, the toddler stood up and got ready to beat his dad’s impressive time."

I will say this. I believe the Cowboys think Williams could be a Parsons light. They think they got one of the top pass rushers in the draft. My only hesitation is Williams was not one of the Cowboys top 35 players on the unofficial draft board.

I assume the refer to him making plays in the run game. Did he miss tackles, get blown up, got wash up in trash? Just let the guy pass rush.

A three down player versus a two down player. Sam Williams is a one down player. He's a pass rush specialist. If we have a big lead he can play more, but this guy is not a three down player. Let him play his role, while he bulks up and hits the weight room.

I have been saying it since shortly after we took him after I familiarized myself with him...we stole Same (De) Williams.

Exactly. Williams should look better vs the run in a standard DE position (9), and with some training from DQ on how to use his hands.

I really like the approach of the Cowboys to go get a hunting buddy for Micah with similar measurables. The speed off the should be impressive with Parsons, Fowler and Williams.

I say, measurements do not play football, football players play football. Let's put away the anointing oil until De lines up and faces an NFL caliber offensive tackle. I do not expect Micah II. That lightning only strikes once. If he ends up being like Randy Gregory or slightly less, it will be acceptable. I am not happy with all these kids yapping about how great they are going to be. See Ridgeway.

Yes, put him out there as a pass rush specialist so the other team can run right by him as he attempts to sack or pressure the QB. We need players that are not just one dimensional. I remain skeptical. Let's see what we got when the pads come on.
