Until proven otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if this upcoming season will end up like the others.
Cowboys will beat all of the sub par teams on the schedule, lose to most if not all playoff contending teams, win the NFC East, lose early in the playoff to a legitimate playoff team.

And that’s assuming we stay relatively healthy:)

I'll cheer for the Cowboys until they are eliminated or become super bowl champs. Wash rinse repeat. :flagwave: If you're expecting the worse don't forget to add the fabric softener

:huh:I just don't understand no optimism before the season starts.
Let's go Cowboys! :flagwave:

You're not exactly going out on a limb there.

I dunno, the m.o. I've seen is more up-and-down then the same thing every year. Cowboys haven't had consecutive 10+-win seasons since '96, and never won the division twice in a row over that time. If patterns hold true they'll have an even worse season than the OP proposes.

But screw it, I'm choosing optimism. The alternative is too depressing.

So, why do you still root for them? Serious, question... we have so many fans that ridicule the Cowboys, but they still hang around.....why?

True rinse/repeat is more like a 6-11 season in 2022.

The good seasons aren't built on, they are followed by an awful one.

i think the offense will a bit worse but the defense will take another step forward which is a good thing because we arent winning with offense as long as Dak is our QB

Because its not that simple to just switch teams.

I was here before Jerry. I dont like him or his ego and the fact that that's what runs the team.

It hasn't worked and they refuse to change.

Now that there's a voice (the internet), I choose to come here and vent over it.

Support group so to speak.

What's even more surprising to me is that some people can't recognize that and respect it.

How in the world could anyone be shocked that Jerry Jones and his Cowboys are getting bad on the field reviews?

We are a better team than the Giants, but Philly and Washington are making serious strides to gain ground for NFC East dominance.
Cowboys havent taken a step backwards, but we need serious improvement in several areas to keep up/stay ahead of just our division rivals.
Post season success will be an entirely different elevated level of play.

Your headline is somewhat misleading. We've appear to have totally changed our organisational strategy which instead of scraping enough CAP space to get through a season and then rinse and repeat through restructuring team damaging contracts.
The result in the short-term (2022) may be he same, or even slight decline, however, the future after we've assessed this young roster over the next season could be pretty decent.

Whatever the 2022 season brings on the field, it wont be rinse and repeat in 2023....as the CAP situation is in an improving position and we have the possibility to reduce the number of damaging contracts.

If you can't enjoy a 12 and 5 season, that's pretty pathetic on your part.

This has been going on for 27 years there’s nothing I’ve seen on paper that tells me things are going be any different this season. We’re clearly not as talented unless a few players we drafted last month turn into something special this season.
