Ah, yes... He brings intensity. He'll make the team this year, and even play some on defense..Maybe not start.. But he could contribute. He plays like he's big, even though he's not huge..for a secondary player. Very capable.

Steal of a player.

Has the big jerk factor. Perfect for our style of defense, where we like to rush the QB from various positions.

I also like Storey Jackson. He has the same attitude. Built like a brick crap house.

Same for Big Kat, who is growing on me.

I've been watching a few of this guy's games where he doesn't even really show up. I'm a little less excited about him, until I find a game where he's consistent.

It's hard to tell because of the competition he played against. And I didn't see much of his pass coverage skills. Seems to be more of an in-the-box safety.
But he dominated against lower competition, and that's what you need to do as a player from a small conference trying to catch the attention of the big dawgs in the NFL.

Yeah, he's difficult to figure out. He could be the type of player that responds well to coaching. But I like Quandry Mosely and Juanyeh Thomas, too.

I also think DaRon Bland could be a free safety, next to Kearse..

Why did he go undrafted? What's his weaknesses besides small school?

I realize they are called highlights for a reason lol, but seems like a 4th-5th round type of player.
Supply and demand. There are more players than spots available.

Value for the type of player he is. Purely a box S that will always limitations in coverage. As far as late round/UDFA S we have had, he is far more Kavon Fraser than Barry Church.

He will probably stick as an ST guy, and may eventually get some snaps on defense at some point in his rookie. But I don't seem being a diamond in the rough type

According to a friend of mine who's a Bucs fan, we should keep him on the roster. Apparently the Bucs we're wanting him and there's not much chance of trying to stash him on the PS. He's a very good safety and quick too. We might be able to have him as a return man with his speed.

Yes, but consider wanting to sign a UDFA after the draft vs wanting to keep him on your own 53 after he spent camp elsewhere.

Different deal, and all teams have their guys they would like to develop and are scared of losing. There really should be a better system for teams to be able to hang on to these guys after making an investment in them.

It's a catch 22 because if he shows something in preseason other teams will want him, and if he doesn't, Dallas cant really keep him either.

But it's like that for every UDFA.

Exactly, but I think the other problem with releasing him is we play the Bucs, who were apparently one of the teams we beat to Bell, in the first game. How many times have we been burned by someone we released? I mean, the board would be entertaining I suppose, but I don't think he makes the PS in any way shape or form as long as he stays healthy or unless he turns out to be crap.

Once you're old like me you'll realize there's been a lot of guys like this over the years lol.

I'm rooting for him of course. Looks like his closing speed may end up a little slow on the big stage, but he seems to have that 'want it' type of edge.

I'll remind everyone of last years Kamara as an example of the odds these guys face.

Oh fur sure. I like this guy's measurable, speed (he ran a 4.41 40), and what I see of his videos.

Bell adds more speed (4.41) to the box to go with Parsons (4.37), Harper (4.47), Cox (4.52), Clark (4.57). DQ has brought the quick twitch to the Dallas LB group in just two off-seasons.
I hope Bell gets a look at SS.
