"Diggs has also been a poor run defender for a player of his size and physicality, managing a PFF run-defense grade of 30.4, 127th out of 130 qualifying cornerbacks."

I mean, tackle numbers and assist account for catches that he gave up and made the tackles too. Those tackle and tackle assist numbers are not solely run game stats.

Whatever.....knew I was wasting my time (lol)

we forget how young and impressive our guys have been. Lamb I believe holds a few cowboys receiving records in first two seasons. And he wasn’t the 1.

that diggs stat. Double digit interceptions in 40 years is absurd.

true but they all will need to so it multiple years we saw dez do it 3 straight years and fans turned on him anyway, Ol get paid because of your greatness until you fall off then the claws come out..dez 3 year production was one of the best by any wr, ever..

so unless Diggs and parsons prove other wise they could be the next LVE and JSmith i mean they got us excited then fell off fast,,this is about consistency and being done in the biggest moments, you make your career by showing up in the biggest moments of biggest games..

they aren't locks to get paid until all 3 show consistency. Lamb as 1 will have tougher road vs 2 given how they cover him..so this is pivotal moment for him being out there with gallup and Cooper no Wilson no turner i mean hes the "guy" for at least the first 3+ games if the year.,,.no ones scared of our TES and if the Run games not fixed, man I feel for Lamb if he comes out the other side for sure that will show everyone who he truly is..

Lamb and Diggs are both entering their 3rd year. Lamb will have his 5th year option picked up, so we have him for the next three seasons. There should be no rush to extend him now. Diggs originally signed a 4 year contract. I would expect them to extend him after the 2022 season. Way too early to start talking new contract for Parsons.

umm that not how it works of late , players will threaten to hold out, become distractions and demands trades..its become the norm around the league..sayig you can tag or pick up options and the players just agree to it is you counting on the payers to amenable.

As of right now Lamb is the odd man out. He isn’t worth anything near elite WR money. If he stays at this level I would trade him or let him walk in FA. Draft and replace.

DING DING DING!! Lets hope Lamb balls out this year, then you can get a hual for him and not pay top dollar for a position that shows every year how Rookie contracts do just fine..... One problem, there is a reason the Owner dressed him up like his favorite WR action figure, and that doesnt point to anything other than him getting paid here.

I love it, Colin picked the Cowboys to finish third in the East. He loves him some Wentz:laugh::huh:

The 3 players mentioned, surely it will be more, I think these 3 will break the bank. Knowing how things are going with our lack of spending, I don't expect contract negotiations to go on for weeks and months.

Now days this leads to players deleting their team from social media ( new modern scare tactic to show team they're ready to get paid??)

With all the money we're choosing not to spend, do you think we re set the market? I know these deals usually take time, but cap boy is saving so it should go quick! Please give your thoughts.....
We better win now before we have to pay big bucks to keep these guys,,,,

Diggs might be one of those rise fast, fall fast guys. I'm kind of scared to pay him big bucks. Dak and Lamb should be together for the remainder of Dak's career. And Tank should be on his way out by the time we need to re-sign Parsons.

They wanted to spend 70M on Greggory and didn’t land him so I think theyll see how the DL goes because Lawrence might be close to the end as well. I think when they lost Greggory, they tried to fill his position with Sam in the draft, but either way they’ll roll the money over to next year and try again. They might need it for the OL or WR too. I think theyre happy to just wait and see

Agreed, though I'm not sure I'd extend Lamb tbh. Like I said, I think trading him for an extra first or two would be nice. There seems to be a market for trading WRs for 1sts, and maybe it's time we get in on that.

I agree. It might not be a popular thing to do. But we should trade him for 1st or two. He is going to command alot if he lights up the NFL. If he doesn't then still trade him for a first and draft another.

That and WRs are usually available in the draft. Furthermore, if the Titans could get what they got from the Eagles, I would imagine we could get a couple 1sts or a 1st and multiple other picks for him. To me, it's worth it, and he'd accelerate the building of this team. Especially with the fact the team is built on drafting. Like I said, I think this could be a mini-Herschel Walker deal.

By that time you’re looking at Tyron Smith, Zeke, Shultz off the books and D-Law in his twilight. Who exactly are we paying aside from Dak?

At this point I would trade Diggs and Lamb. When Diggs ints go down, fans will hold him more accountable. Lamb at this point is not worth a top ten contract. Could that change this year, sure. I would sign Lamb before Diggs. At this point with only one season Parsons for sure.

I don't think they need the money yet. Even if they give Diggs and Lamb an extension next year, Diggs big cap hits won't start until 2025. Lamb has a 5th year option, so not until 2026. Parsons enormous cap hits won't start into 2027, probably 2028.

So saving money now doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Are any other players going to have a cap spike next year?

The benefit to extending a player after their 3rd year, 5th option or not, is because you have that 4th rookie year left where they can allocate signing bonus money to.

We can be sure Parsons will get one after 3 years if his play continues. I'm not so sure about Lamb.

What has Lamb done to warrant visions of riches?
Lamb is not a catch it quick on the sidelines guy like smart could be.
Lamb needs a vertical game. Can doesn't have a vertical game arm.

There is about to be a WR bubble in the NFL. HS athletes want to play WR not RB and offenses are switching to pass heavy with 4 and 5 wides every play. Ton of WR talent coming out every year. I would just keep drafting solid WR’s and not re-sign guys. Lamb is good but nothing not replaceable. This is a contract year for him though so you know he will show out, we resign him at top dollar then he goes back to 2021 CeeDee
