Listen I get that the Eagles are adding…snd it’s concerning. But we also need to remember the year where they went scorched earth adding top all star guys snd fell on their face. Pieces have to fit. I like what they are doing on paper but no guarantee! Or maybe I’m avoiding it

I also remember the year they did this and won the Super Bowl because they got so loaded that the QB didn't even really matter all that much.

The point is they're trying to improve while we do nothing. Maybe it works, maybe it don't, but at least try.

Imagine how this place will be if Hurts ends up with more total TDs than Dak next year.....

Dak had 12 more TDs then Hurts last year, but I believe that gap is getting closer next year.
As long as you understand that if he throws more tds, his running tds will come down. Especially since 7 of them were 3 yards or less...

Right! I think it was 2015…few years before when they grabbed DeMarco, Maclin, Byron Maxwell, etc. People were nuts. They went 7-9. It wasn’t until 2017 FA when they were t Jeffries etc that they turned a corner.

But I agree with you completely! I’d rather swing for the fences then tinker and think you are there

If all three strike out, we have options. Sure, McGovern isn't all pro but you can do a lot worse at LG.

We can find a third wr...if Washington and Tolbert whiff.

BTW, I am not as certain on Smith and Tolbert as some others. There are too many variables with them to be certain. I like them but not certain. Williams I am certain on.

McGovern couldn't even beat out Williams, who we all wanted dumped in the offseason. If we have to turn to him, we have real issues.

While I was sitting here saying Demarco doesn't fit that offense, Maxwell is overrated etc...

I just don't think it is a disaster and you can still win with a guy like that.

I am going to go back and watch the games that McGovern played in, I don't think the issues were all his.

It's amazing what they do on paper, certain fans on here cheer it, and say they will win the East.
However what Dallas does on paper, they claim they suck and will miss the playoffs.

Eagles had only a slightly better off season on paper then Dallas has, if one looks at it objectionably without "dislike" glasses, or without rose glasses. It goes both ways.
Dallas is still the team to beat for the East.

I think the Commanders improved more than the Eagles. As much as we make fun of Wentz (well some glorify him), he is much better than what they trotted out there the past 5 years.
I do think the division will be much tighter throughout the season than it was last year. But Dallas is still for now the better team.

They tried to replace Williams with him and he struggled to the point they had to go back to Williams. You aren't helping your case here denying homerism when you claim we are in good shape if we have to start McGovern if Smith doesn't work out.

Even if Hurts plays well, they’ll still draft a QB. They may realize you need elite talent at QB to have a chance at titles.

8-9 win teams are not really in a strong position to find a QB. Their only saving grace is that there are estimated to be 6 R1 QBs next year so far and that number almost always goes up.

Not worried

If Hurts improves and becomes a viable QB they’ll be something to worry about. This will be a make or break year for him. All Philly needs to move past the Cowboys is solid QB play. They’ve had a good offseason and have improved themselves.

The teams are pretty even. The division winner likely comes down to their games against each other.

I dont think Bradbury moves the needle much on that.

IMHO, Dallas is still better, but it depends on team health. Officiating could play a part as well. Just speculation. We’ll see.

They’re the team you speak well of. While I’ll acknowledge they’ve improved and will be a much tougher out, you sound like a fan.
You're saying they're improved and will be a tough out?

You sound like an Eagles fan to me.
