They don't have to be "that good".

Because the Cowboy, Giants, and Commanders aren't going to be "that good" either.

The Eagles have the best overall roster then in NFC East on paper as of today. They did before they signed Bradberry.
Weird how eagles have a better roster but got swept by us.

Top front 7? Who are their linebackers? Their defensive ends are JAGs. Pro Bowl cornerbacks?:lmao2::lmao:

There are just two players in the NFL since 2016 with 15+ interceptions and 80+ pass breakups:

Darius Slay and James Bradberry.

Slay and Bradberry are ok. Brown was better then Bradberry last season and the Cowboys have him for half the price. Slay is not even in the Diggs stratosphere.

The Eagles are now able to stand up against the current strengths of the Cowboys, and run the ball...

This is the tough part of pre season vision, and that is what dynamics and adaptability has been added to the remaining core from last season. That will also grow through the preparations and season games:

The Cowboys want to keep the versatility that helped Parsons win the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Owner Jerry Jones has referred to Parsons’ position as a “Micah player.” He can be a linebacker. He can be a pass-rusher. Had the Cowboys not selected Sam Williams in the second round, they would have kept that plan in place, but Williams presents the Cowboys — and Parsons — with more options. Williams goes into a pass-rush pool with DeMarcus Lawrence, Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr. Parsons can continue to move between positions with ease, especially with Leighton Vander Esch’s return via free agency and Jabril Cox’s return from injury.

If they only had a QB………

Anyone watch the WC game vs Tampa last season? They had plenty of opportunities to get in the game or win and Hurts couldn’t throw the ball
True. If they had Dak they probably win. Irony.

I don't know about them winning the division,
but how we can sit idly by and not sign any free agents while our rivals improve
is very frustrating to me.

It's downright stupid that Cap boy Stephen Jones doesn't want to spend on talent. Yet we have lot's of cap space to spend if we need to.

Eagles are going to win the division this year. They are clearly made an effort to get better while we sit on our butts hoping and praying.

So not in Diggs’ stratosphere when it comes to… baiting QBs? Or catching errant throws?
Errant throws? Did you see how he trickrd Hurts and Herbert into throwing the football to the receivers. The guy has some of best hands in the history of the league at cornerback. His interceptions were not luck.

The Cowboys are better then the Eagles and don’t underestimate the Commanders defense. Wentz is better then Hurts. The Eagles have no players that are even close to Dak, Parsons and Diggs.

Eagles are doing an amazing job of rebuilding that team. They will have 2 first rounders next year as well. I really like what the new HC is doing over there. I agree that Hurts isnt close to Dak, but that doesnt mean that the gap isnt closing fast. Eagles are no pushover anymore.

Shultz, Kearse, Hooker, extended Lawrence, Gallup, Washington, Dorance Armstrong, Dante Fowler, Our pro bowl punter

This is a nice list that completely disproves your notion that the Cowboys dont like to spend money on players. They just spent a boat load. Heck, they even tried to resign Gregory at some 13 or 15 million per season.

The Cowboys are solidifying, retooling, and restructuring their roster and salary cap while the Eagles trying to play catch up. And they still dont know if they even have a franchise QB yet.

That is the REAL story.

Cowboys don't like to spend money except on their own draft picks. And they overspend on our own picks. Zeke, Jaylon Smith and Tank just to name a few.

There were plenty of opportunity for us to get a lot better through FA. We did absolutely nothing.

WE can say what we want about the Eagles. They are doing everything they can to get better. While we sit idly by hoping our draft picks and UDFA will help picking up the missing peices.

The Eagles have significantly improved. We didn't. And if Hurts doesn't help them out this year, they can think about getting a QB next year.

If Hurts improves slightly than the Eagles have surpassed the Cowboys strangle hold on the NFC east for a lousy 1 year run. Great job Jones boys!! Never go after quality free agents that can improve your team great thinking.
