Let me see here, when was this thread posted? And when will training camp and the preseason be finished? Now, how many months between now and then? The state of the team as of now is what this is about.

No, at this very time, I do not see a team that improved in talent from the previous season and as I said, I also do not see any other team in the NFC that improved either. Some teams had an interesting draft but the impact of that will have to wait until after training camp and the preseason are finished and well into the season.

If you think this team improved, then that is cock-eyed optimism. If you think it will be improved by the time training camp and the preseason are finished, that is blind faith optimism and not backed by history with this brain trust.

And you do realize that since optimism and pessimism are feelings based on the future, premature pessimism does not exist?
I reserve my judgment of the team for the appropriate moment, not now when they are just adding new pieces. You should keep your powder dry too, until the appropriate time. Just saying. ;)

The Packers couldn't beat the 49ers either, and the Rams lost to the 49ers twice during the regular season before narrowly beating them in the NFC Championship game and going on to win the Super Bowl
And thats exactly why the 49ers deserve being ranked one of the best teams in the NFC not the Cowboys.

I'm actually not sleeping on the Skins. I think the Eagles are the only team we should sweep. The other two teams have capable QBs. The skins and Giants when healthy can be a problem.

I'm not a Hurts fan either but he lead Philly to the playoffs and they added a lot in the offseason. Bradberry and Slay are one of the better CB duos in the league. I think the Cowboys struggle in this division b/c we are the only team that didn't get better in the offseason.

I'm actually very impressed with what Howie did in the offseason. Moves made with a clear intention to win now. We have one more year with the Eagles being ho hum. Like the Bucs before Brady got there. Next year I believe the Eagles use their draft capital to move up and get any QB in the draft they want. Lets hope there is at least 1 team picking top 3 that also needs a QB.

You don't even know you are at war yet you keep dropping bombs on those that don't think like you. Now you call ithem delusional.
Yes.

When someone preaches "have patience" when it's been 26 years of failure most people would call that delusional.

1)It’s a game, played by wealthy strangers. Win or lose, you and I still have to work, pay our bills, and tread water in a fading economy, and seven billion Chinese just don’t give a *****.

2)We’re ALL disappointed by the 26 years. We ALL want to strut and crow in front of hateful ABD’s at the water cooler, but most mentally healthy folks are able to attain a decent perspective. Most of this team’s failure is it’s own fault, but many times we’ve ALSO been thwarted by injury, officiating and circumstance.

3)It’s not the destination so much as the journey. If you spend all your time stressing out, voicing displeasure and forecasting doom, how is that an enjoyable life? THAT is delusion. Sad delusion.

When someone says "have patience" they aren't talking about the last 26 years and you know that, but you choose to take it out of context so you can convince yourself you have a legitimate complaint. But people see through your argument and know you are a drama queen that just likes to hear himself complain. The road to a Super Bowl is a process that recycles every offseason... have patience.

So, the "have patience" that you refer to is just on a year to year basis then?

Is that what you're saying? If we fail for the 27th year in a row the "have patience" will then just restart itself next May?

When you say "have patience" you're not taking the past quarter of a century of failure into account, right?

Lambs are one and done. Too much distractions in LA to remain hungry. They are not built to be a dynasty.

Look for them to drop off dramatically.

Point is, why just ding the Cowboys because of this and not the other teams on the list that got beat by SF? Especially GB, who also lost Davante Adams.

To be clear, I'm not saying Dallas needs to be this high on the list, I just think the reason given is a little flawed.

And, realistically, even if they are overrated by this source, is it really that much? Maybe a couple of spots at most?

They have Stafford, Kupp, and Aaron Donald......... nobody in the NFC has anything close to that.
