PFF gives 2021 Dallas Cowboys draft class full letter improvement in re-grade one year later
If we all knew what the future had in store then we would never ever make any mistakes. Hindsight is 20/20 as they often say and it is an easy game to play with NFL draft classes, although doing so even just one year removed is a little bit dangerous given that these players are all still improving and figuring out who they are going to be.

Still though it can be interesting to look back on events from this time last year and that is what PFF did when they re-graded the 2021 NFL Draft Class. They originally gave the Cowboys a grade of a B and bumped it up to an A with the knowledge of everything that unfolded since then.

Initial Draft Grade: B

1-year Re-Grade: A

I wonder how much the grade will drop if our second-round pick gets suspended or sued?

Wouldn't the Eagles feel dumb if Parsons and Golston turn out to the cornerstones of our great defense.

Maybe it goes up, as Nashon Wright gets a chance and steps up and plays great. :D

I like that Odighizuwa was a contributor last year, but I don't know if the "hype around" him "would have been relatively high," based on last year. He was good, but not great. I guess compared to the other third-round picks, Golston and Wright, he looks like a downright genius pick. But for me, the jury is still out on all three.

I guess the fact that no other player from that draft class has really done much makes it necessary to praise Osa some.

Exit thread. Not halfway through page 1 and the Order of Hating “Haters” has started looking for issues with laughing emojis. Good topic though OP. Nice draft we are waiting to capitalize on

It will be interesting to see any progress this season with all of the 2nd year later round draft picks. As 3rd round and on.

I will be looking at the competition between Bohanna and Hill at DT. Probably for one of the last DL spots. This is the make or break year for Hill, but I give Bohanna the edge. He is a Quinn pick, and Hill has a lot to prove yet, though he had been looking better.

Osa flashed a little last year. But it was only his rookie year. DTs quite often aren't great their rookie year. He's the one I'm hoping takes a Diggs type leap from rookie to 2nd year. All I can do is hope.

Hopefully. I was hoping we'd see Gallimore make that leap last year, but I don't know how much the injury slowed him down. We badly need both of those third-round tackles to take it up a notch. I'd say the same for Hill, but I haven't seen anything that really gives me hope.

I'm more interested in Bohanna vs. Watkins vs. Ridgeway. Watkins was OK as nose tackle last year because we really didn't have anyone better to man the spot. Hopefully, either Bohanna or Ridgeway will prove to be better. I'm glad that this staff has some appreciation for size at nose tackle, but those big boys need to do something with that size. If either can clog the middle and not get uprooted easily by double teams, our run defense will be much better off even if they don't actually make the play themselves.

I gave our Cowboys a C for the NFL Draft that we had completed in April.
I think I'm about to award them a B, after my last re-considerations. :flagwave:

Additionally, the players we stole in undrafted free agency took the cake!
